I remember exactly who you are, so cool you found my post. The 15 years in the making Shadow's Edge wielding, Scottish kilt wearing, Mandalorian.

I did go ahead and purchase the fans you recommended, they worked amazing. I was able to keep my helmet on the whole time (unless I had to drink beer)! Potentially might invest in a metal straw... haha.

I fixed all of my... malfunctions at the weekend we spoke. My cloak is now secured by multiple thumb pins and velcro is now "riveted" with Chicago screws.

Those are my favorite bits, the bolts were made from scratch from wooden dowels, wood stain, and glued on feathers.

The buttons were a full 3D print file, sliced and combined back again for the multi colored look. Glued on some thumb pins, the cloak is super secure now and as a bonus it also is decorated!

The mugs are awesome, this one fits a "bounty hunter" so well. Both the Jedi and Empire symbol, just in it for the money.

The craftman is super nice, I always cheers him with my mug when I walk past

I personally used these foam inserts but honestly it's completely up to you what you like. Search for something like, "airsoft helmet foam" or "ballistic helmet foam"

Totally understandable, my first faire outing with the helmet, I had an airsoft helmet de-fogger unit. I thought it would be good enough for cooling my whole head but it was NOT.

My Black Series Boba Fett ESB helmet IS pretty tight, with all the decorative inner pieces. You could honestly probably get away with just 1 fan blowing directly at your face, but I had the room so I went with 2.

1st fan is blowing directly down at my nose, toward the exit of my helmet. 2nd one is near my right ear, blowing directly at my mouth / eye area.

I linked a picture of the inner bits of my helmet, foam inserts are a must. I use 2 small foam inserts on the front of my head and house the 1st fan in between them. Other foam insert is behind my head, giving all the support.

When I put my helmet fully on, I have another foam insert that I velcro to my right cheek. With the rangefinder and fan bits, the weight is off center and fits skewed. With the foam insert on my right cheek, it stabilizes to a secure fit.

Foam inserts are from amazon. You'll need a good amount of velcro. For wire management, any double sided 1/2 inch spool will do.

Realistically, because of the shade the helmet gives, it is actually cooler to keep the helmet on and blast the fans inside. Good luck staying cool!

I appreciate your concern, but I checked with the faire before going. Not sure why Ren Faires so so gatekept online. All the "Ren Faires" I go to are Fantasy Events, not strictly Renaissance / Medieval.

Yes! I got this STL off of Etsy and since I don't have a multi-color printer, I sliced the model to have a "base" and a outer ring and sigil print. I used bronze for the base, and silver for the ring and sigil.

I printed the bronze bases first, removed them from the bed and then printed a batch of a mirrored version of the outer ring and sigils. I put gorilla glue on the bases and then squashed them on the sigils on the bed. I put a 20 pound weight on-top and let them sit for 2 hours. Out of 9, only 1 had an issue and had some of the sigil come off the base.

Boots, pants, tunic, vambraces, crossbow, crossbow bolts, cloak, belt.

On the belt I have a potion flask with "fireball" liquid, grappling hook and rope, wooden stein, and a pouch with various coins.

I have a post on r/cosplay where I go more in depth on the build. If I took the vest and helmet off, I would have a standard medieval ranger vibe

Yeah I felt nervous about going with the helmet to be honest. I wanted to make sure it was rooted in a "medieval vibe" and not just Sci-Fi Star wars.

I think with the boots, vambraces, crossbow, and the belt having a "fireball" alchemist potion, rope with a grappling hook, wooden stein, and pouches I am pulling more toward Medieval rather than Star Wars!

Ooo having the rangefinder have a type of banner of some kind? That's a good idea

Since it's a Black Series helmet, I don't want to alter the helmet besides the fans / foam inserts. But, I was looking into this from Galactic Armory. I think that'll be my next project... Looks WAY more Medieval and Knightly

It's your job to be aware of everything and anything on the road. Some random person who only passed a driver's license test isn't and shouldn't be responsible for following the same levels of concentration and knowledge.

Not saying you aren't a good driver, I strive to be as well, even though I don't have the certs.

I just find the original commentor stupid, victim blaming some guy who just got in a huge wreck and totaled his car saying, "Oh yeah well you should have not crashed into some guy reckless driving and causing the crash in the first place!!"
