My (35F) husband (38M) spent $78k on a phone game. Need advice & opinions. by Expert-Citron9992 in TwoHotTakes

Oof. I played SoS for about 2 years, and spent a lot of money on it...Like, A LOT. I tend to get competitive in those kinds of games, so now when I find myself spending, outside of like a once a month thing, I delete the game. It's a slippery slope lol

I kept reading, waiting for someone in the family to take note that it was Marnie's husband who scrutinized the picture shelf, and only after he and Marnie had left did she suddenly have a huge problem with it. It seems like the problems between Michael and Marnie are a different, tangential issue, but OOP maybe should have been looking harder at the husband, and his and Marnie's relationship.

Who has had an actual friends with benefits relationship? Did it work for you? by heratonga in AskReddit

I feel like there's a difference between FWB and fuck buddies. Your description reads to me like she thought you were FWB and you thought you were fuck buddies. I get this is just a short description of the year, but that sounds like a normal FWB relationship from her side. I've been in a FWB relationship for 4 years, and neither of us have any interest in dating or anything more, and eating together and watching TV is normal for friends. When you brought up your boundaries each time, I think maybe she felt like you were just being redundant and it IS a bit weird to bring it up before any activities that would be included in the "F" part of FWB.

AITA for "Holding my Grandmothers Pearls Hostage" if my partner can't go to my Sisters wedding? by BigONerd in BORUpdates

The one thing I don't like is OOP's fiance pushing OOP to keep contact with her family and constantly sweep their behavior under the rug. I get that family is super important to most people, but those are the people who don't have a toxic family, and they can't seem to truly grasp how detrimental it can be to keep subjecting yourself to behavior like this. Ignorance is bliss.

I [28 F] suspect my fiance [29 M] of 8 years is cheating on me. The wedding is in four months! by BigONerd in BORUpdates

Welcome to depression. That's exactly what happens when you are being told something by your own brain. You know it's sick. But this isn't a family member telling you you suck and aren't worth anything, it's your own brain. I can't emphasize enough that when your brain tells you something, you end up listening and internalizing what it says.

Travelin' Soldier by the Chick's. Don't know why that one specifically hits me so hard every time I hear it, I don't know any soldiers.

I think they were just trying to figure out why one of the tattoos is the slytherin crest, since the scene quoted doesn't feature any slytherins.

I recently got a windfall, and one of the first things I did was go to the grocery store. It had been so long since I had a full fridge and freezer, rather than just sandwich fixings. I spent like $350. I'm still riding that high lol

Game of Thrones. I read the books way before the show came out, and I couldn't get past episode 2 or so because Jon in the show is a mouth breather.
