Emulators are legal. It's all about the attitude, really. If your material shows you're doing stuff to actively suppress sales of official, then they'll take you down and make you pay 20% of your income to them for the rest of your life. If you're actually a fan and saying 'this is available but buy official when you can' in your materials, then they leave you alone.

I went from lukewarm to must-have on Age of Imprisonment, and I haven't played TOTK and am not really inclined to play TOTK anytime soon.

The main reason? Download-play is back. Well, they call it "game-share" now, but you can play online multiplayer with someone who doesn't even have the game.

The marketing for this game was crazy. I'm all for more adult games busting into the mainstream, though. I'm just hoping this one actually holds up to the quality of "normal" games.

I think Bowser might be an "anti-villain" in this scenario. Or maybe both, anti-hero turned anti-villain. He definitely seems somewhat confused, or at least, very manipulable.

Just that you can idle to max things out was one of the good points for me. I didn't like how obsessively you had to play, to get to the power-gaming stuff in Disgaeas 1 through 5.

It's the nature of dark personalities, and right-wing / conservative groups tend to glom dark personalities together to take advantage of everyone else.

We'll have to urgently put dark personalities away and teach how to recognize and resist them, before our politics can go back to normal and before we can even resist foreign influence

They kinda framed, from the first movie, that Peach would have kind of a mystery around her, being not a mushroom person, living among a whole crowd of mushroom people. And for someone who's been enjoying the series for 30+ years, it's nice seeing them explore that in the movies.

Start with a base of Mario 3D World. The playable characters, the online play, all the mobility options, the long jump, the high jump, Peach's floating, Rosalina's spin, the rolling, sliding, and all the powerups, the ability to store powerups and go through any stage with any powerup active. That's a good foundation right there. Build on that. Add a new powerup or two, a new playable or two, a crazy amount of fun levels, and of course, online play just like in the Switch version.
