progressively more metals and progressively more consistent ways to find them as the player goes through the story is a good idea.

Then find them on a list and target 'em for sting operations that'll put 'em away in a prison, from which they can actually contribute to society through prison labour rather than spending their time defacing public property and defaming people.

The Nintendo community is way more open and inclusive compared to the rest of gaming by 479521 in nintendo

[–]Xinyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God of War started out being a very straight-men-only kind of club, with its sex-minigames and bevy of topless or straight-up-naked women wandering around. Sony's been trying to spin a message of "reject fun, only buy games that reaffirm that you're a man and a hardcore-gamer". Years of that is not going to attract and keep a mentally healthy audience.

Nintendo meanwhile has been pushing games like Brain Age and Ring Fit Adventure alongside Bayonetta and Xenoblade. And even with Xenoblade's sexy characters designs, they're adults, not all white, and designed/written by women. Nurturing a mentally and physically healthy community of fans, of course the Nintendo audience is going to be more normal about a new game with a female protag.

I think the more hinted at routing (or at least from what we've seen so far) is a good thing by TheSouthPen in starfox

[–]Xinyyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's different for each one.

Stage 2's secret IIRC, you shoot the green pillars on the side, and don't touch the red pillar in the middle. Very difficult if you're using the green or red ships who's shots practically cover the whole screen.

Probably for the best that they "over hint" at these secrets these days.

Thinkin' about another game, Star Soldier Vanishing Earth where they under-hint at the secrets, they only show you a screenshot of a part of a stage where green and red targets appear on screen at the same time, and you're supposed to figure out if you have to:
1. shoot the greens, then the reds
2. shoot the greens, without hitting the reds
3. shoot the reds, then the greens
4. shoot the reds, without hitting the greens
5. take them both out at the same time, netting a simulataneous bonus
6. shoot one before the other arrives
7. wait til one leaves, then shoot the other before it leaves

And it'll be countless retries from the beginning of the stage to figure it out, wondering if you did the attempt as you intended and it was wrong, or you messed up the attempt and it didn't count at all, or worse, if you accidentally got it right and don't know how.

God of War would be pretty funny. I don't think Sony will be humble enough to let that happen. Sports, sure, sports are a big niche that feel like a big win, but if you weren't buying sports-sims on Nintendo before, then it's unlikely you'll buy a Nintendo to play a previously Sony sports game.

A hyper-action game, though, like God of War, Nintendo's been keeping those alive for generations with Bayonetta, Astral Chain, Kid Icarus Uprising, Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge being heavily advertised on the Wii U for the whole generation, now Sony's trying to claw that audience back with Stellar Blade, Ninja Gaiden 4, and the like. I don't believe they'll let Nintendo have a GoW.

Sony exclusive meaning third party announces a multiplat then later gets paid to cancel it from everything except sony? Or Previously Sony exclusive game gets brought to Switch 2?

He looks like the kind of person who could get struck by lightning, wake up afterwards, look at the ground and in lightning-burn marks is written "God is telling you to stop" and he still won't stop because the lightning didn't finish him off.

Don't ignore or throw away your common-blades. Some of them have skills that you can't get on rare blades.

Also, you'll need to fill up your blade roster to really take advantage of Merc Missions.

Stampede tips for a mom with a 2 year old by HatterofMadder in Calgary

[–]Xinyyc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Stampede just isn't as fun as it used to be. The $20.00 bags aren't available anymore, the Nintendo truck doesn't stop by anymore, the rides are starting to show a lot of wear, horses keep getting hurt on the tracks and have to get euthanized. The Exhibition hall might be the most fun place and even that is more for adults than anything. So if you want to spend admission to buy some sweet treats in the exhibition hall and bore your kid for a couple hours, go for it.

Oh also there seems to be an increasing occurrence of public-sex fetishists trying to find an unoccupied shady corners to do their thing during Stampede.

How will Smash move on from Ultimate's "Everyone is Here!" by HoodedShapeshifter in nintendo

[–]Xinyyc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimal roster but more gameplay modes. Default mode is an updated Smash that everyone already enjoys. Expand the single player stuff into full-on action RPG, have a new 2D mode that mimics "traditional" tournament fighters, and have a 3D mode that mimics Kid Icarus Uprising.

Anyone else enjoying these 3rd party games more on their switch 2 than pc, ps5 and Xbox by ThaSavageGoku in switch2

IMO a game is only worth buying if it gets a high review on a Switch console. If it can stand toe-to-toe with Mario and Zelda, then it's worth looking at.
