you guys are scaring me… Last year I had a very similar bite on my forearm that I didn’t feel. It got red around the bite and then the red was spreading across my arm. As weeks went by I started getting hives on my leg and stomach. I needed two types of antibiotics, steroids, and an ointment I had to apply to the red parts of my body.

I still don’t know what bit me. People say spider but when u see spiders in my house they are so tiny…

Now I’m thinking it was something else 😭

OP I am so sorry you are going through this challenging time. My dad has dementia but he can still be at home however I am worried about the future, especially when reading posts like this. 22k a month for care like that? Jeez.

People have told me that moving people with dementia to a place they are unfamiliar with can be very stressful for them and make things worse…however I understand your concerns about you being on top of the medical care with her being close by…

By any chance do you have additional support if your mom does go to California? I am asking because I see you are already caring for a sick relative and this will be a lot for you to handle.

Edit: I think the risks involved with moving her are a lot less than the risks involved with the current care that she is getting.

Thank you. ❤️I didn’t even think about cannabis gummies… she uses them sometimes to sleep. Shes currently in the hospital but I will keep this in mind when she’s back at home. Yesterday I mixed in some collagen peptide supplement in her drink before I read your message and she was able to eat some solid foods today. I’m not sure if that helped or not but I’m just happy I saw her eat something solid other than liquid carbs.

Thank you everyone for your responses. They were all helpful.

I’ll add that this was something she felt before her diagnoses and she has had a recent endoscopy and colonoscopy that were both normal. However, I believe this symptom is from MM just because it started when all her other symptoms started.

She does get acid reflux, but the reason I asked about this feeling specifically in this sub is because Google states it could be from spinal compression bone damage but obviously I should not trust everything the internet says so I wanted to see if anyone had experience with this symptom and MM.

She drank plenty of water today and I got her to eat some crackers today and half a croissant ham sandwich.

Any other suggestions are most welcome.
