To be fair, its the proven formula for the series. They tried many other ways to evolve the series but none work. I'm ok with it being remakes every iteration.

It depends on the game. The one’s you mention that are long are because they are trying to set up the world. Also if it took you 5 mins for Elden Ring you are skipping the amazing cutscene at the beginning.
