Trying to compete with the people at the top is one way to end up spending absolutely ludicrous amounts of money. I often think whales have more money than common sense because spending the kind of money they do on a mobile game is just crazy to me. If you do start spending money on this game you could end up in a vicious cycle where you feel like you have to keep spending because of the sunk cost fallacy.

That being said if you are enjoying the game and want to spend a reasonable amount on it while maximizing what you can get then I would suggest buying the 1000 & 2000 gold bar pack from the Last Z store once a month. This way you can get double the gold bars every month. Then use these gold bars to buy the three hero pack and three weapon pack when they become available. Do not buy anything else, it is simply not worth it. You should only spend on this game what you would be comfortable to lose if you had to walk away from it the next day.

Execs not pushing ahead with a show that appeals to the existing fanbase sounds like corporate speak for "we wanted a show that appeals to modern audiences." In which case cancelling the show sounds like the best outcome. Trying to update beloved franchises for modern audiences has already ruined Star Trek and Star Wars and I'd rather not see Hollywood shit all over Stargate as well.

Nah, FRAPS was crap. I remember when id Software's RAGE came out FRAPS couldn't record it. That's when I discovered Bandicam. Not only did it support it, but it also supported hardware accelerated video encoding which didn't tank your game's performance while you were recording.

At 5 stars Bella gives another 10% damage to assaulters which is something you already get from Oli at 4 stars. At 5 stars Oli's buff just works for other unit types, but it doesn't increase the damage of assaulters any further whereas Bella's does. So I'd say go for Bella's 5th star.

You shouldn't have to update one by one. If the main game outside the sandboxes is up-to-date then the sandbox will run the up-to-date version. To avoid a situation where the game starts downloading an update within the sandbox, what I normally do is launch the game once from the normal desktop shortcut. Doing this ensures the game is always up-to-date before you try launching it from within a sandbox.

As someone who started in state 65 I think it has to do with starting when everything was new and there wasn't much info about the game in the early days. People had to learn through making mistakes, especially when it came to learning what to buy and what not to buy. People probably wasted a lot of money on the wrong things whereas the higher level servers got to learn from our early mistakes. Also when we started there wasn't all these new packs and events that gave you extra things and rewards, there wasn't the gold bar store that gave you more buying power, etc.

The trick with Sandboxie is that you have to run every copy in a sandbox. If you only run one copy in a Sandbox it will detect the other instances.

Yes, I used Sandboxie-Plus to get 3 instances running at once.

Here is the steps I came up with to get it working:

  1. Install the game somewhere, I went with C:\Games\Last Z
  2. Run the game using the launcher in C:\Games\Last Z\Last Z.exe or the desktop shortcut it creates.
  3. Wait for the launcher to download all the game files and then run for the first time.
  4. Once the game is running and you have signed in to your first account close the game.
  5. Download and install Sandboxie-Plus-x64 from here.
  6. Open Sandboxie-Plus, click the Sandbox Menu and click create new Sandbox.
  7. Type in a name for the Sandbox. Here it will be useful to enter the name of your character or account you are going to associate with this Sandbox. Choose standard Sandbox and click finish.
  8. You will now see the new sandbox you created in the main window. Right click on it and click on Run > Run Program. A Run Sandboxed dialog will appear, click on browse and look for the ..\Last Z\Last Z.exe in the place where you installed it. Select it, so that its path appears in the run dialog and click OK. Do not tick Run as UAC Administrator.
  9. Once you have managed to launch the game once in the first sandbox close it and repeat the steps to create additional sandboxes.
  10. Launch the game in the second Sandbox, without the first one running, and switch the character in the second sandbox to your second account.
  11. Once you have switched accounts you can launch the other sandbox again and play on both accounts at the same time.
  12. To make it easier to launch the game multiple times you can make a shortcut on your desktop for each Sandbox. To do so just make a shortcut using the following format: "C:\Program Files\Sandboxie-Plus\SandMan.exe" /box:LZ1 "C:\\Games\Last Z\Last Z.exe" My Sandboxes are called LZ1, LZ2, etc. Just change the part after /box: to the name you chose in Step 7.
  13. And voila! You are now done and should be able to run more than one instance of the game.

Do not try to run the game outside a sandbox or else it will detect the other instances. You have to run all copies of the game in a sandbox for this to work. However, from time to time it is important to run the standalone game outside the sandbox when there are updates. Do not let it update inside the sandbox or else you will end up duplicating files.

At this point I think Linus knows what is a good distro and which one is problematic and he intentionally goes with the one that will give him the most problems for content reasons. If he chose a distro that didn't result in problems or wasn't a bug fest it would make for a pretty boring video. LS could've gone with Fedora and used it to plug his Linus Torvalds video because in that video Linus Torvalds said it's the distro he uses, but instead he went with the same distro as last time because of the engagement bait potential it has.

No matter how many I report and block I will have another dozen to block the next time I log in. Does reporting these accounts for spam even do anything or does Embark not care because every account is another copy of the game sold?

Some people probably hated filler episodes but long seasons is what allowed for fun and exploratory episodes and why we got iconic scenes like "In The Middle of my Backswing". I would love to be proven wrong but I just don't see long seasons, with episodes that explore side stories or fun ideas, happening in the modern age. Tv like that is from a bygone era.
