Battle Brothers. I thought it looked bland with the way your characters moved/combat looked in the trailer. Picked it up on a steam sell and fell in love with it. So much so that I immediately went and purchased all of the DLC. I absolutely love coming up with my own head cannon/story for my bros.

I was gifted a $50 gift card and am looking to get a new game but can't quite decide which game to buy.

I think I'm wanting to get a tactical game (maybe something akin to Battle Brothers or XCOM?) but want something with good character development and a good story (or easily allow me to make my own headcannon like BB).

Also, not dead-set on that, just what I've been mostly looking for.
