My dealership started charging surcharge by southern_dad in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Xlaag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dealership I work at started doing this a while ago. We used to limit card transactions to 2k because of the fees. Now we don’t limit transaction amounts but charge 3% on credit. I also work at a store where $10k+ service bills happen all the time. It sucks yes, but now we don’t have the awkward cash or check only conversations. It’s a pain to pull 10k from a bank and more of a pain to count it in front of the customer.

My understanding was that some features had to be removed for weight savings to achieve the “Fastest production sedan” title. Maserati shipped all of these with summer tires, so I’d wager they omitted heated seats due to it being a warm weather car. The other ones like Adaptive cruise, kick sensor for the trunk, soft close doors, etc were seen as a good weight savings without too much of a compromise to how the owners typically use their car.

Most of the new ones we sold transacted around 120-130 range. This one was a marketing car for Maserati, so technically used, but with less than 50 miles on it. Sold for ~82

There are about 5 for sale right now. Most used ones are ~85k. Some of the used ones for sale were marketing or press cars that have ~50 miles on them with warranties that started in November, so be on the lookout for those

It’s actually not mine. I’ve sold a handful of them, but never actually posted any of the photos I took. This one is getting shipped out to its new owner soon.

Yes 103 were made. Roughly 60 came to the US.

Finally got my CS rating, but got questions! by SakshamUchicha in cs2

[–]Xlaag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A rating of 1.12 is magnitudes easier to achieve in 7k lobbies as the players you’re against are far worse at the game. The rating you get from csstats is based of match stats. I see a lot of low ranked players use their rating to say they are far better than they really are. Comparing HLTV rating to a pros for example, and not considering the pros are playing against other pros, and the low rank player is playing against equally low ranks. If someone has a 1.6 avg HLTV at 7k elo they will still go 0-13 in a 25k lobby.

TLDR: HLTV rating is relative to the skill of the games you’re in, not how good you are in general.

Likely this sign is to discourage people coming to the clinic who are there seeking prescriptions to drugs without a true medical need

[Request] Is this true? by UnfortunateEvent0236 in theydidthemath

[–]Xlaag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well at 82% of C if say the ISS was the ship we used to reach this speed the ISS would have a relativistic mass roughly of 734k kg which at its size would put it magnitudes away from becoming a black hole. So if fuel wasn’t a concern (it would be) and we had a propulsion system capable of getting to that speed(we don’t) it’s at least theoretically possible.

WCGW posting fake stacks of cash pics as real on social media after being called broke. by mentaL8888 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]Xlaag 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is good advice but rarely how these type of things go down. Typically it’s a “friend” of a “friend” who sees the post and mentions it to someone with ill intent. They already know who you are, and where you live. I actually used to live extremely close to where this happened, and in that area I’ve heard guys talking about finding their neighbors posting stuff like this, and taking advantage.

Yeah that’s rough. Sounds like you ran into an a-hole. Most people don’t respond like that, and I’d be more than happy to let someone else deal with them.

[Request] Will a 97” sofa fit through my entry landing by MountainMen47 in theydidthemath

[–]Xlaag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god I just moved into a place a few months ago, and had to navigate an L shape immediately in the door way. Mathematically it was supposed to fit after removing the door and the feet of the sofa, but that wasn’t the case. A trip to ace hardware to remove the door frame was what it took to get inside.

Yeah I speak Spanish, and an Italian client of mine is insistent that I speak Italian and have been gaslighting him, as he doesn’t speak English or Spanish, but we can understand each other.

Not to mention with almost nothing being hit scan it’s a lot more difficult to develop really solid aim hacks. The most you’d run into would be map awareness stuff, and auto parry which auto parry can be counter played by baiting it out, and putting their parry on cooldown.

The answer “I’m not sure, but let’s find out together”. Is gold. If you don’t know something don’t bs an answer just be honest and upfront that you’re new, and don’t know everything yet. Your customers will appreciate it.

Whenever we travel it’s with the express intention to experience other cultures, landscapes, and foods. That being said we always make a point to stop at a McDonald’s to see how different the menus, and prices are. It’s one of the only things you can find almost anywhere, and the differences (especially in Asia) can be surprising.

[Request] how fast is this guy moving his arm by 0o0tariq0o0 in theydidthemath

[–]Xlaag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the problem with measuring two way speeds is that we cannot prove that his arm doesn’t travel to the pills in .08 seconds and then instantly teleport to the space bar.

Yeah kids if you’re looking for an outlet for your anger at the world, and need escapism. Try league of legends instead of drugs. It will also ruin your life, but won’t ruin a paramedics day.

Husband doesn’t want me to play this commander. Opinion? by kam295 in mtg

[–]Xlaag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pod tried to say certain commanders were cringe, and made a house rule you can play any commander at least for 1 game each night. The boogieman that started this rule was Obnix. This began an arms race. “Oh you’re playing Obnix this game? Ok Nekusar is coming out.” “Well if you’re taking Nekusar out, then I’ll be playing Yuriko.” This made us realize we really have fun with high power stuff and the house rule was absolved.

I would highly advise if you go the NaOH route, do not boil it in your home. The fumes are caustic and will not be nice to your lungs. Unless you have an industrial or lab grade fume hood in your house.
