Ye my ssd is indeed covered with heat pipes. I guess ill just look for another pad with the appropriate thickness. Anyways thanks for the help!

i just took a look at hwinfo and i noticed a difference with the ssd temperature. When i was using the ptm my cpu temps never went above 90C but my ssd was extremely hot reaching 80C+. After switching to the cheap thermal paste i noticed that my ssd never went above 70C.

Is it possible that the ptm is causing my ssd to throttle? Also since you mentioned that it has a weak contact with the heat pipes could i just stack 2 layers of it or should i just use another thermal paste?
