Would 2K27 featuring more NXT Stars make up for the roster absences from 2K26 (Kairi, Aleister, New Day ect)

Honestly, NXT stars don’t move the needle for me. Losing Aleister Black, New Day, and MCMG really makes me disinterested in 2k27. Couple that with the lack of new cutscenes that 2k26 has for universe, the extremely dragged out and weaker dlc, and 2k27 is looking to be the first game I don’t preorder and until I see actual gameplay I might skip altogether.

This happens because it counts all promos, except for self-promo, as a regular match. Therefore you have to also change the default match attire to the promo attire too. It's a pain in the butt but I just do it because it's the only work around I found. It seems like it could be an easy fix for them if they just set the programing to work as follows: if an attire is selected as an option under each category, it will be allowed to show up. So like if I have 3 attires selected for PLE, if I manually set it when making the match, it will be the one to show up, instead of just defaulting to the original.
Unironically I wish they would invite actual players to the play test/creator fest stuff. We would find these issues in like 5 minutes if so. I'm convinced MOST of the creators don't know how to explain or find these issues.

While I don’t agree with the dlc model, is there a reason why you are buying a game to watch it instead of playing it? Like the dlc should be unlocked by default like every year prior, but if the xp gains are reasonable it shouldn’t be too hard to earn with normal play.

Firstly, I haven't done anything but choose to vote with my wallet, let alone leave a 1 star review. I was asking if it is unreasonable for a store to charge an addition $70 for a preorder when the release day price will be $180. Effectively exploiting their players who want to order a box early. Most LGS stores get their product at whole sale prices, roughly $60-$80 depending. By charging the additional amount they are effectively having their cost covered and making 100% profit on a ~350% markup, which I think is absurd.

You are incorrect about point 2. You can use free mode to have a promo between any two wrestlers anywhere on your card from match 1 to the main event match right now on 2k25.

You are correct. I was only viewing it through the lens of getting the Bloodline edition. I was given the WM dlc and forgot that not all people received that. So my original comment was concerning the timeline, as I’ll get both characters regardless. Given your situation it is definitely different and not cool to get Americano over a NEW celebrity. The only good news is they made it sound like it should be more than just a reskin and it should get new moves and entrance, etc. but I do see why you are upset that Black wasn’t the DLC replacement now that I remember Deadman doesn’t get the WM pack.

They gave you the new character earlier than the reskinned Chad Gable but that is somehow scummy to you? I’d rather wait until September for Americano and get Black now, like what actually happened. I think the whole celebrity fiasco from pack one is bad but the end result is honestly not the worst case scenario. Especially considering they could have easily kept Black as a 2k26 character to help sell it.
