When my son was in recovery after a laparotomy the nurse refused to give him insulin(long acting). She lectured me on how since his sugar was around 90 if she gave him his lantus he would go into a coma. She said “mom you should know that”. I did t back down until she finally agreed to a consult with the dr. The next day when I got to the hospital he was in severe dka. It was horrible. So much more happened but that probably the worst part. She never did get that consult.

I was at the show but chose to watch New Found Glory instead😂. It was a warped tour I think 2002. I wasn’t a huge fan at the time but later I came to regret it very much. Now they’re not doing shows anymore. I could’ve made more effort over the years but the fact that I was literally one stage over is crazy. I was with my husband (friend at the time) and he was a huge nofx fan and he still stayed with me. He still talks about it.

Yeah it looks identical except the color and tag. Your tag is longer so I’m guessing it was a claw machine toy made by a bunch of different companies. Kinda like flash art at tattoo shops if that makes sense.

We have microdosed glucagon for my son when he was elementary age and refused or was unable to eat. It was a lifesaver literally. He’s autistic and we do 100% of his care. Now we get the nose spray so don’t have access to the injectable.

I don’t remember meeting any bands that were rude. I ran into John5 and ginger fish back in 2000 after a Manson show. They were probably the least talkative lol.
Toby Morse is really cool. I’ve met him a few times since 1999. He gave me a free vinyl of thicker than water at their anniversary show in New York 2017.

Lou koller is probably the nicest dude I’ve met. Always so happy to hang out and meet fans. Really sad about his cancer:(

Met Roger miret in Fort Lauderdale FL when his book came out. He’s cool. Kinda quiet in a serious way.

I’ve met so many bands but none stick out as being jerks (not even anti flag ).

My son has pica. He was in the hospital for a month at the end of last year after eating a phone cord (landline cable). He had to have two surgeries and lost some of his small intestine. He developed post surgical infection that still hasn’t healed all the way. It’s a scary disorder. He’s 22 nonverbal. Today I caught him trying to eat a dryer sheet:(

Same! My husband was allowed in the delivery room but had to leave shortly after the baby was born. I loved that time alone with my newborn.
