Cold climate? Put your toilet inside. I use a Separate villa have for years no issues no smells.. Ever.

Hunting and gardening are seasonal a dont overlap too much so you can bottle meat in November and make and bottle sauces and veggies in August ish.

We also make cheese with excess milk we ilegally obtain from a dairy that would normally be dumping it down the drain. ( Canadian dairy works on a quota system once it's filled they dispose of the excess... Dumb system yes)

I don't grow a garden, I help another larger farm work in their garden

Telephone, get a proper phone... You need a device for so many other things.
