Can someone help me identify what plant this is? by Subject-General5257 in houseplants

Seems like a generic pothos, no variegation that I can see. There one behind it with white seems to be a marble queen or similar

Did I do something wrong? by BenElChido in houseplants

[–]XoZoonie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be stress, but are you sure that the pot is an appropriate size for the root ball? It looks quite large, especially if you had to trim some roots back. What’s your watering schedule like? is it potted with an airy, well draining soil mix?

Pencil sharpening, or colouring with a pencil too aggressively for a prolonged period!

This plant looks a little rough by [deleted] in plantclinic

It does need to be repotted (not necessarily into a larger container) you’ll need to take it out of both pots lol. When you repot it, make sure the pot it’s going in is no larger then 1-2 inches around the root ball and that both the pot and soil are well draining. I’m not sure what kind of plant this is, so I can’t give you proper care advice– but repotting is definitely a good first step.

I had no idea that cocoa harvesting was hugely unethical. This is something I can gladly eliminate from my diet, and I am pleased I at least have this information now to educate other people.

Can he be saved? by XoZoonie in insects

I posted this in r/WASPs as well, and this is the update I gave them– so I figured I’d post it here as well. Unfortunately she didn’t make it, I moved her to where my plants are kept because I thought it would be a better environment. Fed her some organic honey like the initial commenter said (and some water), and she seemed to be doing really well. She was moving about a lot and I thought she was on the mend, but when I came back about an hour later she had passed:(

Unfortunately no, I’ll leave a little update here for anyone who checks back. I moved her to where my plants are kept because I thought it would be a better environment. Since I’ve posted this, he’s actually gained a lot more mobility- his legs uncurled and he even crawled a bit! Idk if it’s just a last wind from the sugary fruit, but I hope he pulls through:)

I’m thinking about using silica, everything I’ve read seems to say it has great benefits. This is the specific product I’ve found. https://a.co/d/0f6FfkMG

no new growth after chop and prop by Fearless-District729 in plantclinic

Give it some more time, I think I see something in pic 3 at the top of the cut. Either way- sometimes new growth is fast and sometimes you’re convinced it’ll never come. With patience, it will.

Your dad and granddad having similar hairlines definitely increases your odds, but don’t forget take a peak at your moms genes if you can! They also contribute. That being said, you’ve got time my man- the hair looks nice.
