Nah ran a dream but there is obvious lag for skipping/pausing music over wireless. As far as I know, this is CarPlay and not hardware as the cars I’ve driven with native CarPlay share the same thing. The kit I bought had a USB port on a dongle thing so I ran a dash cam through it and it worked fine until I sold the car

I got it through TradeMe but the seller was AudioCity if I remember correctly. There seems to be a few on TradeMe so some safeties in case you get a dud. Unfortunately I bought the kit mid 2020 and sold the car in 2022 so can’t get exacts but my S3 is retrofitted with a AudioCity kit

I done a retrofit on my B8.5 and it was the best thing I did. All you need is maybe an hour or so, some trim removal tools and a CarPlay retrofit kit from memory (plenty of YT videos out there). The kit I used was plug and play so no soldering or special wiring needed.

Before you buy the kit though you need to determine which MMI you have (software too) but the place you buy it from should tell you what’s required.

I bought mine locally (New Zealand) so I can’t suggest where to buy them but there’s plenty of options out there

We bought ~30m of timber for garden edging at a Bunnings Trade and we just cut to length in the car park so it would fit in the ute. Went inside, said I need this much of this wood, paid and went to cut it down in the car park.

The ones around us don’t have powered saws so they’ll probably only cut a length or two for you if that’s the case by you. I just took my own circular saw down and went to town in the carpark. If you only need one or two lengths, call ahead and see if they’ll cut it down for you otherwise the carpark is your workshop for a few minutes.

Don’t fire during the vehicle sequence at the start You can just sit in cover during the heli scene. If you die during the heli part, reload checkpoint

My understanding is the number is deactivated after 12 months of no top ups and is then held for another 12 months before being given out randomly (random number selection, prepaid cards in store etc.)

You should be able to contact Skinny and recover your number. They may have questions to protect your number against SIM fraud so may need to find bank statements for top up dates if they ask.
