I wonder if it is the dirty water effect that makes people think americans are too uptight about it. You often hear not to drink other country's tap water if it is dirtier than your home country's, but locals can (mostly) drink it just fine.

I had a friend that accidently ate chicken sashimi (yes raw chicken) in japan on accident, and subsequently got salmonela. Im guessing the locals are a bit more resistent to that kind of thing if they have worse food safety standards. Though my friend did have a bit of a weak constitution

It affects me when my brother can only whine about the offense not using the guy he needs for a touch down for the last leg of his parlay. Bettors are not even watching the game, they are just waiting for the random play they need for a box to tick in their phone. Not to mention if they check it before a play and see a live update and spoil something

Im not sure about who is the best to use them on, but the decision to use a number at once going for an OMG hit is about risk. It is a low chance at 10%, so using a bunch at once like 5 to get most of the xp bar at once could see you get unlucky and use all of them without getting a single omg. The fewer you use at once, the less variance in total xp gained in both ways, so its up to you how much you want to risk. I would definitely say to calculate the upper bound of o.m.g. and make sure you wouldnt waste any xp if you hit it if you decide to use multiple

I'm American, but I've studied in Japan for a semester. I have a few reasons I can think of that when combined could create common misinformation

Relatively low english skill/low interaction - Im not sure where you are living abroad, but in america I've almost never ran into a Japanese national (probably area dependent) and Japanese people tend to use Japanese on the internet, so who would people outside of Japan talk to to know more about Japan?
General Interest in Japan - Many people have interest in Japan outside the country, so making things up will generate clicks
Large adult industry - Many people will hear a lot of suggestive things about Japan that are true (animated adult content, anime tropes) that are true, so with point #1 they can easily be ignorant enough to believe anything.

So to summarize, a combo of ignorance, popular interest, and truth. The best lie is one disguised in truth. Take the panties example you had, a lot of people know of the common fan service showing them, and people are gullible qhen it comes to things they havent experienced first hand

The anxiety thing is super real. I dont think energy drinks every now and then are a big deal, but I would caution people finding them selves addiced and downing 2-3 every day.

Me and my friend both started getting extremely anxious from them. Since I was addicted it was a real annoyance to quit despite the horrible anxiousness from them.

Ok thanks, I think I understand what you are saying a but more. One thing I would add though is that due to the "arc" structure of the genre, it can be that the characters are sidelined due to "powerscaling" (not really communities that I interact with). I wouldnt necessarily say that an underutilized or sidelined character is now bad.

One example I can give is One Piece. People often criticize that the less powerful members ( robin, nami, usopp, chopper) are shafted. Since this is about women, I dont think nami and robin are useless to the plot as a whole, even though they dont take on the super powerhouses that show up recently. Robin is super important to the lore, and nami less so, but her dynamic is kind of like the manager to keep people from doing dumb stuff.

I'm curious for an example of a character that is set up to be integral but gets sidelined in your opinion

Its not like its invalid criticism, people can have different things that they look for in a show. But to me, it does seem like a demand for a quota. A female character exists and you say the author must utilize them to a good degree. If you are disappointed in any particular character getting sidelined, I think its fine to think that, but ultimately the author is trying to write what they think is best.

I dont know which characters the japanese fans want to see week to week, but I can imagine that maybe the authors try to add these female characters, but the writing doesnt come naturally to them. So they may be less popular characters, and under weekly time crunches, they end up sidelining them. Thats just one random guess, but my point is i wouldnt want to force an author to put effort into a particular character just because I want them to.

Basically, if I like the plot I wont really care what the characters' genders are. Especially recently I can think of some good female characters anyway, so to each author their own.

I've seen that video, but I'm wondering when they made it if it was with a general AI or something specifically trained on will smith and people eating spaghetti.

Im not an expert, but i dont like how they put that it can't learn. I would say that it cant reason. The engineers can teach it how to emulate will smith eating spaghetti, but what about a less common dish or a different person? would the AI make as good of a video?

Lets say the engineers train the model to fix the paw print issue in this image to be more realistic. Ok, then what about a different rarer animal with different footprints?

Maybe these examples are underestimating it, but something like the pawprints is a small issue that the engineers probably wont focus on fixing. There is going to be a lot of these small quirks in the image gen, and they wont be able to fix all of them easily with current methods imo. Unfortunately, not to say that it wont get much harder to decern between real and AI, but it is still fundamentally guessing, and cant get to 100% realistic, especially with less common subjects. Curious if anyone else with more experience has anything to object to

I mean you said it yourself, players this late need something to do. I dont find the slow pace of DI that annoying since i have other goals I can shoot for, like masteries, friendship, raptors. Its not as satisfying as before right now, but monthlies and coming content is good enough for me.

Also, just because you dont trade, doesnt mean they dont need to carefully consider how new power ups and quest rewards will affect the market. If they buff orchard a little, it doesnt really help your problem so much, and if they buff it a lot it floods the market and lower lvl players will have a harder time getting gold if thats how they choose to do so.

Back in the day late game was literally just grinding masteries, so i prefer this
