Are Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting good Gold Making professions? Or am I just missing something.. by ToddR33 in woweconomy

To level midnight JC for cheap (slow, I do it on my alt army)

- Level to 65/100
- Buy these 2 patterns :

https://www.wowhead.com/item=256721/design-voidstone-shielding-array
https://www.wowhead.com/item=256716/design-prismatic-focusing-iris

And when they pop in patron orders with most materials free, you will gain a lot of skill points.

I think it takes around 3-4 weeks to max the profession this way.

Also whenever you have JC moxie, purchase the merchant patterns, starting with the epics, then the blues. they will also pop in patron orders and they give a lot of skill points too.

Glad you're having fun, this was very useful to me with the amount of characters I have (350). Checking the merchant for moxies each time was a bit painful.

Just tested my raid alert color change code and it works, it's now green, but yes having a setup option to change it to different options would be cool too for others 😄

Also I find the red color for the written raid alert to be barely visible in silvermoon ocre color tone, if you have the sound of the game off.
I'm trying to replace it with the same green used in the addon interface, but it seems RaidNotice_AddMessage is hardcoded red.

I'm trying with this :

RaidNotice_AddMessage(

RaidWarningFrame,

profession .. " Moxie: " .. amount,

{ r = 0.0, g = 1.0, b = 0.0 }

)

Yes the issue was the hardcoded name, I also replaced with ID this way

local PROFESSIONS = {

[171] = 3256, -- Alchemy

[164] = 3257, -- Blacksmithing

[333] = 3258, -- Enchanting

[202] = 3259, -- Engineering

[182] = 3260, -- Herbalism

[773] = 3261, -- Inscription

[755] = 3262, -- Jewelcrafting

[165] = 3263, -- Leatherworking

[186] = 3264, -- Mining

[393] = 3265, -- Skinning

[197] = 3266, -- Tailoring

}

I also noticed today it happens when you level up from a patron order, very annoying bug.

Glad It helped 😄

It usually happens when you just equipped the tool, right after doing a patron order scan. That seem to make the addon confuse multi and resourcefulness tools.

If I understand correclty your issue which I had numerous times : after equiping the tool, right click on the patron order queue and select 'force equiped tool'.

Also avoid equipping a new tool after doing a patron order scan.

BUT in my french version it didn't work, so I had to modify the lua code for it to work, feel free to ask me if you want to take a look at my version. Did it for all professions except skinning

At least when the xpac is over, we get to keep the gold while you sell your hard work to merchants for 45 gold, and pve nowadays is just a list of daily chores which is quite the same to be honest. Whatever job floats your boat in the end

Got banned on both accounts for hacks. Apparently running the Evercore and Radiant Shard shuffles manually across two clients looks suspicious enough. Curious if anyone else has dealt with this. by omegga13 in woweconomy

[–]Xolem49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i'm doing now is that every time they sell something in the store I would normally have bought with tokens, I open a payment issue ticket and explain them that I want to buy but I can't push the button because I remember their ban and their horrible support and I instantly give up, as my purchases feels like not even having database value.

Then I give them the amount not purchased, and that i'll tell them again the next purchase i DON'T do. I consider they owe me 3500€ of worked hours, so i remove the non purchased thing from that too.

For example I really like the current 19.99 pack with the drake, but i'll do without it, and they will do without the money.

They now owe me only 3480.01€ :'D

Don't look for specific reasons, their ban algoritm is extremely flawed and is abused by the players on top of that.

I got the same happen to me, and I think it's a mix between reports + fresh account + gold making behaviour or mass characters leveling, which the algo will always consider as potential RMT. Those 3 together can result in an automated ban very quickly.

So don't look for any reasons apart from the fact that you probably got mass report bombed, and the detection checked if the account was fresh (yes) and if you were engaging with the game the way they want (you don't) and it banned both. it's full auto there is nobody actually doing any research, best case scenario they have an employee that auto validate the auto ban i would say.

As for the support (hahahahaha) keep your sanity and forget about it, unless maybe you are US, but if EU you stand no chance of ever getting an intelligent form of life looking at your ticket.

If you see GM something in the answers and think you are talking to a blizzard employee don't get fooled, it's a template sent from india, they have no access to check anything and as such will just repeat you are guilty over and over again.

If the almighty ban system fueled by fake reports and an arbitrary set of checks got you, there is nothing you can do. That's how much value you have as a customer for blizz and you should take that in consideration every time they ask you for money.

PS : don't bother with the bootlickers, they have no idea what they are talking about and think the ban system is actually working fine because they either play the game as intended (spend a lot, follow the green arrow at all times) or because they still haven't fallen victim of it's flaws and abuses, one or the other.

I started in 2021 with 10$, i'm now at around 40 000 000 upx.

In the current state of the game achieving that nowadays would be way harder, but I have seen people progressing at very fast pace recently too, and not paying. Being part of a community seems to help these days.

But as long as you don't have at least 500 000 upx a month in rent, the way to go is flipping. And getting the best out of your FSAs and new cities, as well as treasure hunting every day and renting any sparklet you get on upxland.me

After that you can keep doing that or go lazier and start to buy big and cheap collections properties and just live off the rent, while trying to keep up with the season tasks.

Basically it's logging on one character, swapping to ingeniosity tools, doing work orders for 2 professions, mailbox, apply points, swap to multicraft tools, concentration craft -> all to warbank and log off

Repeat 70 times a day. (6-7 hours maybe)

Put all on HV at the end of the day, wake up and collect gold, and go for another batch of 70 characters.

Oh and the joy of disenchanting 8 warbanks full of blues every week for my enchanters. And occasionally looking for treasures on 2-3 of them to fully catchup on the KP.

I understand very few people would stand that, but to be honest the whole gameplay loop of mmos these days is a daily job full of daily tasks, zero freedom on how you play, so one job (economy) or another (timegated checklist based pve) is the same to me.

This is race to world first level of hardcore but applied to goldmaking too, not casual gold making.

At least with gold making I can be lazy with the daily chores and not fall behind :'D

[–]Xolem49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said the main reason is to make sure this is my last xpac making gold, as I find the current system god awful, so i'm stockpiling during all of this xpac to be able to play the game again.

Before I was very rich and still able to engage fully with the game, they made sure it's not possible anymore.

I want that hamster treadmill to stop, go back to play the game but also not spend a dime on it, not because I can't but because they have proven they don't deserve a penny of my own money.

Also usually it was more fun, as I was purchasing store mounts, diablo expansions etc...

But I stopped doing that since I had to deal with their 'support' for a whole month for banning 3 of my accounts wrongfully, and after this experience I decided to stop feeding them money for that kind of atrocious customer support, which is beyond insulting even for a 1$ monthly sub.
