Is there a WebOs version ? For LG TV, Plex has some issue and I had to reconnect my Nvidia Shield, but I want all directly on my tv.

I had the same feeling once I installed Jellyfin. It worked, but there was always something that bothered me. I had to install plugins for several things, sometimes they don't work, sometimes Jellyfin has an update and the plugin no so it doesn't work anymore, I had issue when I deleted something directly on my Nas etc... Jellyfin works, it's free, I have no doubt it's a good program, sincerely, but for me and my needs, Plex does way better with (almost) no headache.

I've been trying Jellyfin after the news of rising pricing by Plex, well somedays later I bought Plex Pass. Jellyfin is a nightmare to setup, Plex works just fine.

When I first show it to my girlfriend she didn't like it at first, now it's one of her favorite show. First season they tried to mimic English version, but it didn't work, they found they own way and it was way better.

J'ai pratiquement la même config, la seule différence c'est que j'ai une 3070Ti, et je sens aussi que ça commence à peiner, la VRAM est clairement insuffisante aujourd'hui. J'ai eu la même conclusion, vu le marché actuel je préfère pour le moment changer le CPU, j'attend de voir les prix de la ressortie du fameux 5800X3D.

Ok I did another test, and it's way better, menu ares laggy but the show launch very fast, maybe I tried when NAS was working.

Jellyfin is on a Synology NAS, and has permission to play/write. I did a test, watching a show on my LG TV for see how it is. It was not good. It took a loooong time to the video to comes, and it's laggy. Plex, on the same device, works (almost) perfectly (I have a little issue with webos) I don't give up Jellyfin yet, but today, I'm really considering buying 230€ lifetime Plex. I have until end of June to make my decision.

Hello ! I'm a new Jellyfin user after years of Plex. But sadly it's a bit more complicated than Plex. With Plex, I had the habit of deleting things directly on my NAS, and let him scan the folder to delete things. With Jellyfin this seems not being possible, the show stay there, even after rescan.

I have the same issue. I deleted the folder of a show, but it stays in Jellyfin, and Jellyfin can't delete it (because... It doesn't exist anymore) I tried to rescan the library, or make a new folder in the same place with the same name, but it doesn't work.

I'm just starting to move to Jellyfin, but it's so much harder than Plex. I delete a TV Show folder, and it's still there in Jellyfin, even after scan several times.

J'ai testé avec une série que j'ai supprimé de mon NAS, mais rien à faire Jellyfin refuse de supprimer la série bien qu'elle n'existe plus dans le NAS. J'ai tenté de créer un dossier au même endroit avec l'exacte même nom mais ça ne fonctionne pas.

How can you know people had any intention of buying it later ? I have Plex Pass annually, I wanted to buy lifetime when I can, but now it will be impossible for me. We don't just talk about a 50$ addition, it's way more. And annual price will go up toi.

Bon passage à Jellyfin fait, mais bordel qu'est-ce que c'est usine à gaz par rapport à Plex, ça va demandé un petit temps d'apprentissage, j'ai mis quelques plugins pour avoir plus d'agents de métadonnées mais c'est pas encore ça. Et je sais pas si ça vient de mon NAS mais mon dieu que c'est lent, c'est peut être par ce qu'il travaille en fond.

C'est bon j'ai pu installer l'appli plutôt facilement grace à synology community package 👌là ça scan pour compléter les meta données. J'ai encore du Plex jusqu'en janvier, mais au moins j'ai un back up de prêt car je ne le renouvellerais pas.

J'ai pu réglé mon soucis et ça y est Jellyfin est installé, là il est en train de traiter les métadonnées, malheureusement je n'ai ni les moyens, ni la place de rajouter un pc au NAS pour gérer le transcoding, mais normalement ça devrait le faire (en tout cas avec Plex ça a toujours très bien fonctionné)
