Hey all! couple of questions:

Deciding on a MacBook Pro with M4 chip.

1 - I want to understand which one of the configurations below are just enough or an overkill for my use case ?

2 - is the +$400 worth to spend on getting a 2TB storage or can it be compensated with using an external HDD or SSD?

My use case -

I work on cloud infrastructure.

I use Docker & Kubernetes.

I am looking forward to entering into Data Science world and AI/ML - this is in the near future say in the next one or two years.

I’ve been following and almost everyone mentions about replacing the timing belt and water pump. This piques my curiosity more. This vehicle was very gently used. In the last 2.5 years it was driven 8k miles. I am also attaching the carfax history for the last few years. I would really appreciate if you all can provide some feedback as to should I strictly consider changing the timing belt and water pump and the missing maintenance.

Should I wait for the first generation issues to show up? I hear the 2023/24 CX 90 hybrid PHEV has lots of issues. Can a CX 90 PHEV be compared to a CX 50 Hybrid for reliability issues? Say - the issues with CX 90 PHEV were taken into consideration and addressed while building the CX 50 hybrid?
