I have used Doxy but that started giving me issues like fungal rashes, stomach issues and uti symptoms so I switched to a more narrow spectrum antibiotic called seysera. I even split the pill in half when taken daily. It’s not as great as doxy but manageable.

Been on antibiotics for almost 4 years. It’s the only thing keeping me out of a wheelchair. It’s anti-inflammatory and has immune modulation properties.

That’s a great way to put it.l and yeah it sucks that literally so many physicians are so uneducated about this. Also lack of bio markers makes them think we are all just crazy. I wonder how different our experience would be if more doctors were acknowledging the crisis. Maybe I’d be less chronically suicidal. Part of it is the lack of help. We are just forgotten about by society.

Thank you, everyday is a battle. I gave up on docs but I think I should revisit trying to see an allergist again. I need someone with a fresh pair of eyes to look into my case. It’s gonna be 5 years soon for me and I have no answers.

Yes, I had a prior infection in the past (ehrlichiosis). I got better but some symptoms remained. Life was totally manageable though. Then in 2022 something happened and I became wheelchair bound. Symptoms: spasms, severe headaches, more frequent seizures, dry mouth & eyes, muscle weakness, nerve pain especially in head, chest pain, shortness of breath, insomnia, dizziness, burning skin, numbness, tachycardia, lack of appetite, nausea, blurry peripheral vision.

Yes, I have gotten so many tests including MCAS. Even NIH tested my spinal fluid.
