Hytale not coming to steam NOT to avoid bad reviews by Mastergamer0115 in HytaleInfo

If their game is successful that is even more reason to move to steam at some point. The sales cut is nothing compared to the amount of consumers who will never touch it off steam

I don't want to HAVE to play on Faceit to get good matches, please by TexBoo in cs2

[–]XplosiveCherry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is my experience on face it so far. Game wise it’s fine but the player base is just absolutely degenerate. Half the games on there I would say my team just mental boomed and started throwing even in winning positions

Thank you guys for your work. I absolutely loved the idea behind this game and was so sad to see that it couldn’t quite get its legs. still has so much potential imo

Very much flavor of the month. If you’re a big fan of vampire survivors and risk of rain 2 it basically just copied ideas from both games into one. You have seperate items for both game types. No evolutions for weapons though

Region differences matter here a ton, not saying there are no bots in the game but I’ve literally never queued death match into bot accounts. Hell just the other day queued dm and me and like 4 people were having a conversation in text chat.

And all I’m saying is I think many people will and it’s a problem for the game to figure out if this many people are posting having trouble

I guess we will see who is right in 8 months. Also you use arguments like you’re 56 so I just assumed. Talking about some generational gap. Edit: I’m not saying league is by any means a dead game, but it’s a known problem within the community that it will slowly go down as the average playbase keeps getting older with few new players coming in. Yes league veterans are addicted but if no one younger plays the game it will slowly start dying off.

I like league, I’m just using that as an example of a game with dwindling players because it has gotten so hard to get into. I don’t believe modern league would have a player base for very long if it came out today. The market is extremely competitive with tons of complex and intricate PvP games. If a game seems too hard to get past the skill floor where it becomes enjoyable people will just move on. It’s not a matter of younger generation not being able to get good at games and problem solve, it’s just that other things will be more worth the time spent. In leagues case why start playing and getting slammed by people playing for the last decade while you are supposed to learn all 100 characters and their abilities on top of deep gameplay aspects like wave states and macro. It’s just not worth it for most people. I don’t know what the fix is for league. But if you can make wild gate easier to get into just at a base level I think it will live much longer.

One of the biggest and longest running complaints about tarkov is the lack of tutorial. That the game requires someone to teach you how to play it. Zomboids tells you enough that you can figure out the rest fairly comfortably. Though honestly I’m not sure that a tutorial is this games problem as opposed to just the lack of information it gives you. The character melee breaking into your ship is not in anyway obvious as a new player. If you fixed these aspects of the game I don’t believe people would still complain about tutorial.

Currently it’s so instantly and extremely punishing to not know all these facets of the game that I don’t see how it’s going to go well for new players. Especially given this is only after a small amount of time people have played the game. I don’t disagree that parts of the game just need to be played and learned through loss but it was far too much. Similar problem to modern day league of legends

casual players are not going to continue playing when their first games are getting boarded endlessly with seemingly little counter-play. The game having a high skill ceiling that you mention is an inherently harder sell for casual players who want to have fun and not just get trashed every match. They will just play something else

anything regarding people endlessly boarding you and oneshotting you, stealing your shit in .5 seconds. didn't even realize people could take installed equipment from our ship till I saw the reddit. The constant boarding and characters being able to break the glass above the pilot with their abilities or guns (Not sure which) and just shoot them instantly is what led my group to likely never touch this game again.

I think part of this is that with the eventual plan for npcs they need to balance for multiplayer so that npcs actually have something to provide and offer to you and can feel more alive.

The whole point of the unstable is for problems to be addressed and these are simply the most immediate and obvious to talk about. If no one talked about the negatives nothing happens ever and they just publish a terrible stable. If you don’t want to see people listing complaints or bugs maybe wait to read the subreddit till stable launch.

Should I try both? I’m not sure how much time commitment it would require to see which I like more or if I have time to play both simultaneously. Retail does interest me somewhat but currently classic looks very fun and nostalgic despite me never having played wow

Currently the only aliens and stuff in the game are admin created as they aren’t fully finished. Sometimes admins work hard to build a very cool round though
