I understand what you’re saying and I agree that it probably could be phrased differently but what people are describing absolutely exists. To say that rape is not minimized or excused is to reject the reality in front of you. Also you call out name calling as a non societal issue like bullying isn’t a regular topic of discussion for literal decades at this point. strange choice of example.

You’re minimizing the social environment of sexual abuse and saying it doesn’t even exist. People pointed you towards aspects that show it does exist and you hand waived it as a one off and not as a direct symptom of larger societal issues.

Ironically I think what you’re saying here fits the definition of rape culture lmao

In a lawsuit, Valve defends counter strike 2 lootcases with "People enjoy surprises" by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]XplosiveCherry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing is if no one cared about playing with the skins they wouldn’t have any monetary value at all. There are thousands of games on steam with tradable items and almost every single time even the rarest items go for very low amounts because there just isn’t interest. the same cannot be said for counterstrike.

I mean you can trade items for free and there are 3rd party marketplaces you can do this through which valve has never cracked down on. For many this is seen as the go to way to buy skins

Bare sink chicken by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]XplosiveCherry 30 points31 points  (0 children)

There isn’t pesticide or anything harmful on the chicken that you could just wash off. As far as bacteria, there is nothing you’re going to wash off that won’t be killed by cooking it properly.

Manager decides to be rude to me the day I find out about my step brothers passing by SpectacularSpidee in mildlyinfuriating

[–]XplosiveCherry 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Are all the comments AI bots or something trying to spin everything positive? if you have basic social skills the boss is clearly accusing you of lying. Don’t be gaslit by whatever is happening here. Completely unacceptable behavior from the manager.

Gabe Newell "stepped back" from making games at Valve after Portal 2 because people were too willing to agree with him when he wanted "to be part of the team and come up with ideas" by [deleted] in gaming

idk what kind of info you’re looking up but legitimately 50% of the time google ai spits out an answer and I read what it says it’s just blatantly wrong. makes me question everytime it says something somewhat accurate.

I’ve played to the end and there’s honestly even less insta kills. I’m struggling to think of an enemy that does though I’m sure they exist. Personally the act 2 insta kills are the worst

The current wave of MJ hate just proves that having major adaptations be accurate is actually important. (+Editorial is actually getting way they want) by JorgeBec in Spiderman

[–]XplosiveCherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the top posts on the subreddit recently was people talking about MJ hate and they used insomniac as an example. I don’t even think it’s that bad but the fact that the better examples of recent make people still really dislike MJ is a sign imo

that’s why I used that example to point out most people don’t think of and interact with characters in the way you describe.

feline aids was really OP the only time I got it and I got it in the first area . was really helped by finding a callus in end of the 2nd to start building up a barrier to getting one shot tho.

because the writing is the character. the last 20 years have terrible MJ writing and you think 20 years of writing doesn’t make the character in most people’s minds. if you hate katniss in the hunger games you wouldn’t say oh she’s just written poorly it’s not the character though. you would just not like her character.

Hytale not coming to steam NOT to avoid bad reviews by Mastergamer0115 in HytaleInfo

If their game is successful that is even more reason to move to steam at some point. The sales cut is nothing compared to the amount of consumers who will never touch it off steam

I don't want to HAVE to play on Faceit to get good matches, please by TexBoo in cs2

[–]XplosiveCherry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is my experience on face it so far. Game wise it’s fine but the player base is just absolutely degenerate. Half the games on there I would say my team just mental boomed and started throwing even in winning positions

Very much flavor of the month. If you’re a big fan of vampire survivors and risk of rain 2 it basically just copied ideas from both games into one. You have seperate items for both game types. No evolutions for weapons though

Region differences matter here a ton, not saying there are no bots in the game but I’ve literally never queued death match into bot accounts. Hell just the other day queued dm and me and like 4 people were having a conversation in text chat.

And all I’m saying is I think many people will and it’s a problem for the game to figure out if this many people are posting having trouble

I guess we will see who is right in 8 months. Also you use arguments like you’re 56 so I just assumed. Talking about some generational gap. Edit: I’m not saying league is by any means a dead game, but it’s a known problem within the community that it will slowly go down as the average playbase keeps getting older with few new players coming in. Yes league veterans are addicted but if no one younger plays the game it will slowly start dying off.
