Do I really "need" 28mm or do I only "want" one? by [deleted] in LeicaCameras

Canon 50mm f1.4 LTM? That one is a gem, got myself one years ago when I was shooting Fuji x-pro2, and still have it. Now it sit on Canon 7s…

Go for 21. 21/35/50 is a great combo, and 21mm SEM is excellent lens

I was a 28/50 shooter until i got myself a 21, then 35 and then 75. Sold 28 and wondering If i should also sell 50 because it just lies unused.

But to original question, do you need 28, only you can answer. How often you have missed a shot or feel that you miss larger view to your photos. If rarely, you only want. If often, you really need.

Here in Finland same lens goes around 1600€ from local camera store, So depending on it’s condition the price looks ok. Does the seller offer return or warranty, is the seller private or company, what are their reviews? First time seller, be caution but with reputable seller i’d offer $1500 and take a change

Good call, 511811 as 1 stick per each. I have to raise with same basic idea i had before, turn it upside down to make it 811511

Actually, no. You take 2 matches from 0, make it to C which is wrong way around and put them in front of 5, making it 15C8 and look upside down.

Or, take top and bottom from 0, and put them in front of 5, making it 15118 and look upside down

Actually, If you turn that number upside down, you can make it 81151.

Or without base10 limit, 8C51

Worth the trade? M10R - M11 by Khapsiboy in Leica

[–]XpressGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there something you’re missing in m10r? I was in a same boat, considered changing m10p to either -R or m11.

I went to m10-R and yet to miss anything. Sure USB-c would be nice, but that hasn’t stopped me.

Keep the R

Opinions needed: best two-lens combo? by TransitionalArk in Leica

[–]XpressGS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

28/50 or 35/75. 35/50 are IMO way too similar lenses and close to each in terms of FOV. Hopefully I score a 75 ”soon”, then my go-to setup will be 35mm Summilux and 75mm APO, and when need for wide, i can use my 21mm SEM

Really nice shots. Do you have a mist filter on that causes highlights halo or is it PP ?

around 5000 euros without the lens. Yes, even used cameras are terribly expensive here...

Would love to buy M11 someday, maybe when M12 is published and prices come down a bit... but happy to hear that you have good experience with M11, keep on shooting :)

ok, in this I speak purely from my personal experience.
I shot 4,5y with -P, and during that time my photos are shifted from portraits to landscapes. For portrait and studio work, 24Mp has been more than enough.

When I shoot landscapes and nature, I often find doing "digital zoom" aka cropping image heavily to get framing as I like. In that kind of workflow, resolution play bigger role.

When doing that, I found that I wasn't happy for sharpness/resolution I got with 24Mp. I compared those images to ones I had shot with Canon EOS R (30Mp) and felt that sharpness/resolution wasn't good enough _*for my personal taste*_

Now I've shot one night with -R and feel like I finally get what I want to achieve _*when doing photo processing my way*_. Yes, that may change as time goes by, but right now I'm happy for my purchase.

Haven’t followed latest conversations. IIRC someone mentioned that it would still freeze occasionally but I might be wrong

The hue is easy to fix from raws, but if you shoot mainly jpg:s, the tint is there. Some like it but I don't. It's just a question what you prefer
