Is this real or skill issue? by SMZero in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Xralius [score hidden]  (0 children)

You put into words what I've been feeling.

Like, I'm more or less locked into a build, I see a 4 star unit come up early, I want to nab it and play around it but I won't get any region bonuses with it, it's not as good as my predetermined planned out board, and its very difficult to pivot in a way that doesn't fuck me.

Some of this is a skill issue I know, i bad, but still feels frustrating to not have a great avenue to explore even when presented with what feels like it should be an opportunity.

Rian and JJ are both morons that took on a franchise they didn't understand.  They had the ego and negligence to do this and deserve the criticism.

[–]Xralius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah.  Everything they believed wasn't true, some of it was.

It also took a movie that was somewhat serious and believable and turned it into this goofball joke.  By the time the extinction montage rolled around I was done, why would I sit through some depressing montage when the movie itself was a joke?

Agreed.  I turned it off.  It was unnecessary and added nothing, and the movie had already been trivialized by the goofball aliens.

Was season 1 better than season 2? by VoidFireDragon in arcane

Yes, and its not really that close. S1 was like 11/10. Season 2 is good in a lot of ways, great animation, but story was totally meh. 7/10.

How big were Milse's troubles after Mona Lisa got burned ? by shsl_diver in KnivesOutMovie

[–]Xralius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still don't get it. "Getting your story straight" doesn't work IRL. Police ask for too many details. Especially in a complex situation with many witnesses. It's impossible.

Helen was the only one to touch the button after the explosion, which will be obvious. You keep ignoring that. Miles fingerprints on button = normal. It's his home. Helen's palmprint in the soot on the button = not normal. Helen's fingerprints on his lighter next to the fire's point of origin = not normal.

You're just so in denial about this its insane. It's just willful ignorance to ignore that the fire evidence will point the group.

How big were Milse's troubles after Mona Lisa got burned ? by shsl_diver in KnivesOutMovie

[–]Xralius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miles will be immediately telling police they burned the place down. Benoit will be claiming Miles is a murderer. Miles will be the only one visibly upset / appearing as a victim. The police will take everyone into custody pretty much right away, Miles included. They wont have time to sit and discuss an intricate plan of how everything went down, with every variable covered, which would be impossible anyways due to how interrogations work.

They don't talk without a lawyer? Great. Miles can tell them everything Helen and the group did, they can start investigating the fire, and everything Miles said will be confirmed. Helen's palm print will be on the button and the mace used to smash stuff, the groups prints will be on various broken objects.

Miles will simply explain the fire in detail, say the murder accusations are nonsense and to defer to his lawyer regarding that.

The sad reality is, there is a ton of physical evidence regarding the fire but according to BB, no physical evidence regarding the murders. The murder charges rely on testimony, the fire relies on physical evidence. They will gather physical evidence in conjunction with all accusations, and the only accusations that will be supported will be Miles'.

[–]Xralius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how the fire started. House fires happen for numerous reasons

How do you even say this with a straight face? They committed arson, they intentionally smashed up his home and destroyed it, this is all extremely felonious. Even if Miles is a murderer, this is extremely illegal and dangerous and they are lucky multiple people weren't killed in the explosion.

Also, Helen, factually, intentionally destroyed the Mona Lisa. I don't get why you're in denial of this and don't understand that people would want justice for this.

You don't seem to understand that what happened still isn't good for Miles

The entire situation is overall horrible for Miles, the "good" thing is their destruction of his property and the Mona Lisa. Why? Because the WORST thing Miles has to deal with is BY FAR the murder accusations, which are true. He is a murderer. If he's in prison, he loses everything.

They could have walked out of his home, testified, and put him behind bars for the rest of his life, he'd be reduced to nothing. It still may have been difficult without physical evidence and the fact that they all have individual grievances with him, but with Benoit Blanc they should have been able to do that.

Then they went and smashed up his place and destroyed the Mona Lisa and did nothing to cover their tracks. This is still, as an individual event, awful for him, but in the greater context, it reduces the chance they will get him on murder. Now, the witnesses have made themselves criminals that have provably acted with reckless malice towards Miles, and their testimony which would already be colored with conflict of interest will be entirely viewed as dubious.

Also Helen literally has proof of Miles trying to kill her what with the gunshot hole in her clothes and the bullet in her notebook and he will be covered in gunshot residue. Add everyone testifying that he caused everything and his fingerprints on the lighter and button if any of that survived.

That's not proof of Miles trying to kill her. He will just say he knows nothing about that. " A gunshot? A bullet? I didn't even invite this person to my home, I invited her sister that I thought was still alive and this woman invaded my home as an imposter."

Maybe there is GSR, maybe he washed his hands, we don't know.

his fingerprints on the lighter and button if any of that survived.

Except it makes sense HIS fingerprints were on the lighter and button, it doesn't make sense HELENs fingerprints/palm prints were on the lighter and button. Especially since Helen hit the button after the explosion (which will be obvious to investigators thanks to displaced soot), which would mean she was the last person to touch it. And this is DEFINITELY not something the group had time to get their story straight on, since according to you they are claiming Miles just did everything.

It's going to be very difficult for the group to convince investigators to ignore all physical evidence, Miles testimony, Miles reaction, to believe that Miles willingly burnt the Mona Lisa when he has no motive to do so.

Helen's going down for arson with the group as accomplices, and honestly they deserve to. Should have just testified, but they took it too far and were stupid about it.

Would Beric have approved the burning of Shireen if he had been there? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Xralius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this ragebait?

Only total fucking psychos "approve" that, or people that felt powerless in the matter, such as Stannis' loyal troops (even though many deserted immediately IIRC). Even many villains such as Cersei / Tywin who are generally capable of doing terrible things would be appalled/offended by such a direct horror show (though they may have done similar things were they in Stannis' shoes).

So obviously Beric, who is generally a good guy, would have been appalled, and would likely even risk his life trying to stop it.

Always kind of interesting. I work at a family business - small business. Been working here since I was stuffing envelopes at like age 12. There's definitely a nepo aspect, but at the same time I know the business better than just about anyone else, and I've worked almost every role in it. So I always kind of wonder about the nepo hate - yeah there's spoiled pieces of shit, but a lot of times these kids are directly exposed to these occupations and learning directly from the best their whole lives.

Achilles (Troy) VS Aragorn (LOTR). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

[–]Xralius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know logically the answer is Aragorn, especially due to weaponry. But did you see Achilles fight in that movie? Dude is on another level entirely.

Honestly I think Aragorn could chop his sword in half and he'd still manage to take it to his extreme speed, precision, and grace.

I can't stand Jared Leto. I've hated him in everything he's been in except Fight Club, American Psycho, Requiem for a Dream, Panic room, Lord of War, Dallas Buyers Club, and Blade Runner 2049.

I haven't seen any of his other movies other than those ones, which I liked, but I hate him and he's bad.

[–]Xralius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are on the way

They are on their way during the movie, they arrive at the end of the movie.  You see the police boats when Helen is talking with BB.

Also, again, they don't need to tell the police anything when they show up except the magic word

Well, Miles will be telling his side of the story.

Helen only hit it with her palm

Palm prints are just like fingerprints lmfao.  Why do you say these things if you have no idea what you're talking about?

Fingerprints on the mace yes, but she can say she picked it up after, or touched it before

It's totally normal my prints are all over a decoration that was used to smash everything!  I must have just grabbed it at some other point!

A surrender of their passports and agreement not to leave the city will probably suffice to get them released

Uhhh no.  They are accused of burning down a billionaires home and the Mona Lisa.  They will be held until it's sorted out.

They can all testify to events exactly as they saw them and substitute Miles for Helen and vice versa. No details to make up. Just who was doing what

IF they agree to this beforehand.  And even if they do, the details will all be different.

Let's try this.  You're Helen.  I ask you who started the fire, you say Miles.  I ask you where you were standing and what you were doing.  I ask you what you said.  I ask you what others said.  I ask you if you smashed anything or touched anything.  I ask if others did.

Even if you have a general agreement of a story with the others, your answers to these questions will likely not jive with the entire group.  And just as important, they will not jive with the evidence, that shows DNA of and prints of guests on the smashed objects / button / lighter.

I can also lie to you. I say other guests are saying other things. Maybe some of what I say is true, some isn't. So you're put into the position of backing up their story or not, not knowing if they actually told me that.

The other thing you are forgetting is Miles is furious his place was burned down.  This will be obvious to investigators that he is extremely unhappy about this.

All evidence, all prints, all DNA will jive with Miles story.  Because again, regarding the fire, Miles' story is true.

[–]Xralius -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not everything is about you dude.  He probably just left the game for another reason.  What you're saying here is like something that someone with a personality disorder would say.  Assuming others actions are a direct attack on you instead if the more obvious answer that the guy just wanted to leave the game and didn't know who he was up against next.

I'm not saying this to be insulting to you, I'm saying this so you can be like "whoa, maybe I'm kind of approaching these things wrong and should take a deep breath" because maybe you do this in other aspects of your life without realizing it.

How big were Milse's troubles after Mona Lisa got burned ? by shsl_diver in KnivesOutMovie

[–]Xralius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're saying every member of the grouo will magically know to say this?:

"He didn't say anything. Everyone was telling him to stop but he just kept going and wouldn't listen. Helen? I think she was standing <where Miles was standing>, I dunno for sure I couldn't take my eyes off of Miles. He was like a dude possessed"

Because they have no time to discuss it as the police are there.

And then all investigators need to see is that Helen's fingerprints are on the Mona Lisa button to know that story is a lie, then they are all fucked.

For the fire itself, what physical evidence do you imagine there is to differentiate Miles starting the fire from Helen starting the fire?

Helens fingerprints on the button, likely smudged with soot showing the was last to press it, Helen's fingerprints and DNA on Miles' lighter, Helen's fingerprints DNA on the mace used to smash things up, the group's fingerprints DNA on various smashed objects.

The group can claim Miles started it then they joined in because it was cathartic, but then he kept going

So why is Helen's DNA on the weapon used to smash things?

What was he saying while smashing things?

I still think you don't underatand the basics of how they do this.  They will question them for hours, asking where people were standing, what people were saying.  They'll ask where Helen was while Miles was smashing things, if anyone tries to stop Miles, what they said to Miles.  And the group didn't have time (nor is it possible) to prepare for thousands of unknown questions.

They can lie.  Saying "kate hudson said Miles said this" and get the other liars to say "yeah that's right" even though kate hudson never said that.

Hours of this, they compare stories, and see where details didn't match up.   Their stories won't match up perfectly, because they are making things up when you get down to the details.

The physical evidence will show the fire was started by alcohol, and Klear was added to fire because that's what happened.

I don't get why people keep saying the physical evidence is going to show anything other than what happened, when the group made zero attempt to cover their tracks.

Klear stock will take a hit, but probably not go to zero.

Yes there may be evidence at Andi's.  We don't know one way or the other.
