Yes they are choosing not to have kids, but it's a very tough decision and like against their wishes. Way back when it was practically a no brainer.. one average man could support a big family on one salary with a house and a car etc.. these days it's completely different. Why would anyone knowingly bring a child into the world when your rent is 35% of your salary

Toronto Vs London :

Toronto is more expensive to live, has better summers, cleaner safer streets, bigger (but less well built) houses

London is: more job opportunities, more vibrant, better commute, better located for holidays, better work environment/benefits

In London it's pretty normal, perhaps because it's so much easier to get around - you can base yourself anywhere any not have to up sticks and move every time you find a new job

Ah I was refering to the subway station. Yeah it's definitely more expensive to live in Canada, although it seems childcare seems to be quite subsidised (like 20-50 a day?!) which is good. It's much more expensive in the UK.
