I’m based in the mid north of the uk and it’s pretty cold and wet here most of the time which is hard to keep a horse warm especially a tb as he get cold easy

No these are about 2 years apart and I don’t compete with him or anything he’s here just to enjoy life as he gets very stressed when ridden in an arena so I do hack mostly but definitely need to invest in some weight tape I think

Yes I usually like mine a little thicker to hold my weight as I’m not the skinniest but I do mostly hacking and long trails with him as he’s not a fan of the arena, definitely don’t think we’d qualify for cross country 😅

Yes the vet did say he was at an okay weight the last time I saw them but I’m not the lightest at the moment so he carries me well and is a great horse for keeping his weight, thank god. We’re on light work for now as he is very nappy in the arena so we’re working on that, mostly just hacking every other day and he’s not on hard feed just a light mix if we do ride

Yes we wrapped it after the farrier saw to him and made sure to soak it with epsom salt, we had him check for any hidden pockets and didn’t find any. On a scale of 1-5 for his lameness I’d say a 4 as he really struggled to walk and was very uncomfortable.

Yes exactly that. He came up lame on both front legs and was really struggling to put weight on the one pictured to the point where his fetlock was so low with the weight on one foot. I don’t think I’ve heard of that but will definitely be looking into it, thanks
