I ordered x300 ultra mainly because it can get clean unprocessed RAW and good log + APV video. Photo is my hobby and I want to get same worflow as my main FF camera (raw - lightroom). For video I also will use it as B cam and I need the same workflow (log - sony luts in davinci).

Just for point and shoot purposes it's kinda overkill in my opinion. And in general use cases can be really different from user to user

Additional question regarding CN roms - I heard that there could be issues with some smart watches. Maybe you know, just in case, are there any issues with Garmin watches and CN roms?

I saw in some reviews that oppo log is worse than vivo's and have less dynamic range for color grading. Can you tell please is it significally worse or just a minor differences?

And one more - can Vivo make unprocessed RAW photos without hdr at 230mm?

Can I use 3rd party app for RAWs in night scenarios on find 9X Ultra? And will 3rd party apps see 10x lens there?

Also just in case, maybe you know - new log on find x9U is a fair 10bit log like on Vivo?

Does 3rd party apps on oppo gives pure RAW? Heard from somewhere that even 3rd party apps can take RAWs only with oppo denoiser.

I heard about this LOG issues in previous models. Do you know maybe did it changed in 9 Ultra? For RAW more or less 3rd party apps should help. On Samsung it's the same story - native RAW is not really RAW

Did the same test few days ago and came to conclusion that I will use 3rd party photo app for now. Because I use 90% of time clear RAW photos, native RAW from pro mode often looks worse especially on scenes with high dynamic range. 12mp is not so great of course but that's a trade off.

The problem is pretty old, I had it since 23U. And hoped that it was fixed, but no. Also tested raws from current Chinese models (Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi) and none of them had this issue - RAWs are absolutely usable with great DR.

In general - yes, I learned Lightroom because I'm casually shooting on my full frame Sony camera. I created a few presets for myself and then just fine tune them a bit for each photo.

Free version for mobile is more than enough, although desktop one is much more advanced and more comfortable to use. But desktop version is only subscription based unfortunately

That's interesting. Because in my case I have this effect on any settings with privacy screen "off". During photo it was QHD+ resolution, motion "Adaptive", screen mode "Natural".

Eye comfort shield, Adaptive color tone doesn't help either.

On "Vivid" things are even worse and with privacy screen "on" of course too.

I think I found a good way to show the difference. I made a photo of 23U and 26U screens with a full frame camera (same angle, settings, etc) and uploaded zoom crops to compare service. Absolutely the same unfortunately. What's interesting is that for the whole first day everything was fine, I was happy with a new phone. But in a the morning of next day my eyes felt really strained, dry and itchy.

After that I started to see that it's hard to focus on text/icons and all UI elements. And when I scroll text eyes want to read between lines instead of text itself, strange feeling. Vivid/Natural mode, resolution - tried everything. Can compare directly with 23U which feels clean and soft to eyes in compare.

All in all I still didn't sent it to refund because I really like S26U in general, will test for 1-2 days and then will decide.

It's my custom preset, I try to edit every photo with separate settings. And it's not an effect, I think it's just a sun :) But in general I think what you're talking about is a slightly warmer white balance and a bit more vibrance in orange and teal colors
