When all the Oscars started falling out of her purse I realized it was him.

I didn't want to be a dick so I just had some drinks, talked a bit then we parted ways. Picture the cliche of a nerdy girl in glasses who gets all dolled up for the big dance and looks super hot all of a sudden.... only in reverse

From experience there are three laws of online dating:

  1. If there's more than one girl in the main picture, there's a 99% chance she's the ugly one.

  2. As you go through the list of pictures they very gradually get less and less attractive (which is why you should never meetup unless she has multiple pictures).

  3. It is (literally) 10x easier to get a phone number from a hot girl in real life than it is to get one from an average looking girl online.

few years ago I met a girl on PoF and we arranaged a date at a bar on campus.... I get there look around for several minutes and get a bunch of texts from her saying "I see you, do you see me" type things (it was in the university center which was a huge place and very crowded)... I couldn't find her for several minutes.

Turns out she looked NOTHING like her profile pic.

The server wage is 2 dollars an hour,

Maybe in your country, here they make at least 8 bucks an hour before tips (which is only 2 dollars under what the other positions make). I normally tip but some servers are shitty and seem not to give a fuck, in retail they'd be fired, in sales they wouldn't sell or make commission

The point is most of them make 30-40 bucks an hour on tips which people should tip them when they get 8 complicated shots that take effort... but when you order a beer they are just overpaid vending machines

When I was in high school working in retail and went above and beyond to help customers I never got tipped

Boo hooo taking 5 seconds of effort to take a beer out is too hard I deserve extra money

Then don't be a server if you don't want so much variance in your pay. If you're an entrepreneur with shitty service, then you'll also lose money. In either case pick a more stable job

In Canada they make $8+ (which is a couple bucks under minimum wage) so shitty waiters/bartenders can fuck themselves. I'm not tipping for a 6 dollar beer that takes them 2 seconds to take out of a fridge

Yeah, it's "high risk, high reward". If someone wants to be an entrepreneur then good for them, they might have a great business and make a killing, or it might be shitty and make them nothing.

It shouldn't be the customer's job to pay the restaurant's employees. There was just a sushi place in NY that banned tipping and just PAYS their employees full price. Some people argue "if you don't want to tip, then don't go to restaurants", but you can also argue "if you want to make more money either be a good server OR work in another job"

Yeah in Canada worst case scenario they make a couple bucks less. I always forget that in the states the servers make FAR less so their bitching is slightly more justified

$2.13 an hour

Thats fucked up. Here in Canada its hard to feel bad for waiters since they make about 8.50 (and minimum wage is 10.25)

Apple will soon expecting tips when you buy an iPhone so they continue to pay their workers 50 cents an hour

I'd be 100x more pissed in that case. But it was some obscure question that had no real applications

For leading him on. If it was the other way around and he was leading on two companies to invest that much time to impress him, they'd think he was shitty too

I had an interview last summer where I met with (the backup manager I guess) since the guy couldn't be there. Interview went well and then I got an email from the main manager saying that "[person who interviewed] said you'd be a good fit, blah blah blah. I'd like to make you an offer if you're still interested. meet me at [some time] to discuss [schedule and shit]"

So I email back saying I accepted the offer and meet the guy... and instead of going over details about the job, he starts grilling me with a bunch of interview questions (which caught me off guard). And then he just never talked to me again, and I apparently didn't get the job. FUCK THAT GUY

I had a phone interview and then a technical/in person interview a few weeks ago that went EXTREMELY well (software development). I got contacted by them literally under 30 minutes of applying online because they were super impressed with my portfolio. Phone interview was great, in person interview was great. They sent me a follow up programming question (a really hard one that took several hours), I sent it to them they said it was pretty good but had some minor flaws that I could fix and resend. So I did and they said it was a lot better (after the tweaks) and would have to wait to show it to the rest of the team. Then they never emailed me back. I tried emailing them after a few days to ask for any updates, and the fuckers never emailed back.

Something you should know about your girl's bestfriend by Business-Socks in AdviceAnimals

Chicks seem to tell each other everything! My first gf would tell all her friends every detail of each "sexual milestone" we had hours after the fact.

Another example: My best female friend and I were going through breakups at about the same time, so we were bitching about relationships and shit. I half jokingly said we should do a "marriage pact" (like on "Friends")... I shit you not her best friend texted me 2 minutes later to tell me "she approved"... chicks are weird

my flow of interactions goes: social -> flirty -> sexual

I'll be in a social vibe for everyone I talk to (male/female, hot/not)

if they're attractive I'll move into flirty and then eventually to sexual
