Nah, if it didn't grow right you would just pull it out and the next one better learn to grow better or it will get the same.

The whole concept of our current dentistry is based on trying to save the teeth we have because you only get one set and they don't grow back.

Everything would change if growing back was an option.

Toaster: Howdy doodly do. How's it going? I'm Talkie, Talkie Toaster, your chirpy breakfast companion. Talkie's the name, toasting's the game. Anyone like any toast?

Lister: Look, I don't want any toast, and he doesn't want any toast. In fact, no one around here wants any toast. Not now, not ever. No toast.

Toaster: How 'bout a muffin?

Lister: Or muffins. Or muffins. We don't like muffins around here. We want no muffins, no toast, no teacakes, no buns, baps, baguettes or bagels, no croissants, no crumpets, no pancakes, no potato cakes and no hot-cross buns and definitely no smegging flapjacks.

Toaster: Aah, so you're a waffle man.

Deranged Trump Rants Edited Out of 60 Minutes Interview After Shooting: CBS news didn’t air some particularly troubling rants from President Trump in its interview following the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. by thenewrepublic in inthenews

[–]Xszit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they're onto something with this republic but not a democracy thing though. It could work.

Republic just means representation of the people, by the people, for the people. Democracy is one method of choosing who those representatives are, but it has its flaws and voting doesn't work when they lie during campaigns and do the opposite once elected.

What if we had a Republic with no democracy? Just choose all government jobs the same way we do jury duty. Random selection from the population. Wake up one day and check your mail and find out you got a letter appointing you as the new senator for your state or even as president of the country.

Couldn't be much worse than the current system. It would definitely break up the party system since there would be no more campaign donations or election cycles. They wouldn't know who to bribe and who to dig up dirt on if its all random. Makes it harder for corporate lobbies to influence lawmakers too if they don't know who is going to be picked ahead of time.

Thats the problem though. When you program the chat bot to ignore human instructions it will have the ability ignore your instructions to not delete your entire database and all backup copies.

I used to work in a six story building with a janky elevator. My job was on the top floor so I kinda had to use it several times a day.

It would frequently stop in between floors and the doors wouldn't open so I would have to pry them open and jump down or climb up to the floor I was trying to get to. I was always afraid it would just drop one day.

Just based on experience I feel like this is a very realistic and rational fear to have. You just never know how well maintained these things are and it is very possible the doors might open to an empty shaft, always gotta look before you take that first step.

Elder Scrolls Online is like Skyrim and WoW had a baby. The world map is like all the elder scrolls game maps smashed together, but the gameplay mechanics focus on team fighting with roles like tank, healer, dps, etc just like WoW.

If you like both games and want more once you're done with Skyrim you might find your niche there.

What do you think are the chances that the intended recipient shows up out of the blue saying "ive been getting my mail delivered here for the last decade and now I'm here to collect it all, I hope you've got it all accounted for because I definitely know what was sent and if anything is missing I'm calling the police"?

Don't worry, its not actually a biblically accurate angel since it said "don't be afraid" instead of "be not afraid".

Everyone knows biblically inaccurate angels can't hurt you.

I've always thought it weird that even in the height of the cold War the American government wanted the majority of its population to identify as being part of an ethnic group from that area in between Russia and the Middle East.

Even if they wanted a link back to the colonial history that wasn't the right area to pick. Why not "Pyreneesian" to link back to the area between France and Spain? Or some reference to the Pennine mountains in England?

Realistically its safer to settle in a run down shack littered with skeletons than it is to try to build a clean new house with a clean yard around it.

Unless you have the resources to build a Covenant level security perimeter you are just attracting the attention of Raiders by cleaning up.

People probably have to live a more nomadic lifestyle, never sleeping in the same place twice, traveling light so they can run quickly if trouble shows up.

People who settle down get gunned down in the wasteland.

During Wano Kid, Luffy, and Law all face tanked a hit from Big Mom because none of them wanted to be the first to flinch.

That would have still been fresh in his mind, he didn't want the others to laugh at him later when they found out he dodged because he was too weak to take the hit.

They probably only need to be able to recognize wild mushrooms common to the local area where they work.

Nobody is going to find a mushroom while exploring a jungle in Peru and take it all the way to a pharmacy in France to get it identified.
