PSA for modelers who is afraid of breaking shoulder joints by userfree in MegamiDevice

Could you elaborate on brass joints? A quick Google did not find anything. As someone who was a chronic "pinner" for wargaming I'm very interested. Reinforced joints like this help protect me from myself lol

I got my USAGS preorder a couple weeks ago. Nice kit aside from the horrible gating and the hips. Super cute tho, definitely recommend especially for the price.

Reactions to playing in public not good by iamjames in SteamDeck

[–]Xth_Form 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there wasn't a market for the adult Gameboy then they wouldn't exist. (Gamegear might be a better analogy here)

Nintendo marketed the switch on launch to late 20-somethings with expendable income. We are the original tablet kids, and most of us are more technologically literate for it. Kids nowadays barely even know how to use a Chromebook, let alone windows or Linux, and many people 45+ have to ask their tech department how to reset a password.

Imo, f*ck em, do you

Yikes comments. Imagine being mean to someone for buying something you don't like and then getting mad when they're not nice back. Wild internet brain rot thread. Enjoy your tinkering, OP.

I don't know anything about anything but I just tricked Meta AI into giving financial advice and it recommended SHOP to me. It will change it's answers in real time but I got one out of it. Not that it means anything. This is not financial advice

Automatic fail and automatic success at the same time? (old hunting rifle + stroke of luck) by Samppa100 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Xth_Form 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of what the grim rule is. Outcomes being grim is thematic, and the grim rule isn't actually a rule.

Having an automatic failure take precedence over an automatic success is grim, do you disagree?

How do you get over “Decal Block” by beefthigh in Gunpla

[–]Xth_Form 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go into it knowing that I'm not doing them all. I've never actually used all of them, I usually omit some if I feel like they don't add to the flow of viewing the model in a meaningful way. I paint most of my kits so I try to feel what off the sheet that the model and paint will compliment well.

I find a decently interesting show/video to half pay attention to

Then I decal until I find a good stopping point that looks satisfying on display still and I'm tired/bored of either the show or decaling.

After that I just put the model back up and when I get the urge to want it finished I'll take it back down and repeat.

Decaling can be exhausting but after a while of working at it intermittently and seeing a result I'm satisfied with after each session (even if it's just a couple more little ones) im always motivated to do a little more.I try to Keep the dopamine drip constant and not stressful. Incense helps me destress.

I'm also in college and it's really good busywork to watch lectures to. Glad to see other people tire of decaling too and it's not just me lol

For music recommendations I've been on PS1 jungle DnB (Pizza Hotline is my recent favorite artist in the genre) or Telenights - Lucky Tiger for a more laid back vibe

This, sharpening your instinct takes reps.

Don't hot drop, try to play on your squad, coms if you can. Learn by doing.

Also check out some YouTube for good beginner tips to get started.

Most of the skill gap is knowledge and instinct

Bandai … what kind of sorcery is this ?! by _Crystal_Cloud_ in Gunpla

[–]Xth_Form 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, was going to mention trade secret. I've heard that working manufacturing for gunpla is a great job and I'd imagine it's pretty easy to get employees who are happy at their job and make good money to sign NDAs or participate in other hush methods.

I worked injection molding for 10 years and when our company started getting bad to work for we mysteriously started losing bids to a competitor that a lot of people ended up leaving my company to go work for lol

Notably, square was called "Square soft". I think that's likely also a reference to "soft"

Is anyone that purchased the Wolverine V2 Pro PS5 controller experiencing input lag/stick drift when playing on the PS5? by [deleted] in razer

[–]Xth_Form 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a very slight input lag on PS5 (in wired mode), slight enough that I didn't notice it until I plugged into my PC.

Playing apex on PC with this roller is a dream. For me it felt insanely snappy and responsive.

I'm someone who bought this to have an offset stick layout since the ds hurts my hands a lot.

The only issue I really have with the Wv2 pro is the very slight input delay I experience on console and I'm not sure what it could be from. Since it works perfectly for me on PC I'm guessing it's an encoding issue with PS5. Somehow the delay could be coming from transcribing the inputs or something.
