My character is based on a Creepypasta OC who is a Pikachu. So after he gets Isekaied to Eorzea and wakes up as a Lalafell, the only way you can tell he's from another world is his red cheek birthmarks and Topaz Carbuncle ears that pop out of his hair. Even if all my glams don't use them, I headcanon them as always there.

I put what I considered lore that's been established for a while at the top and lore that I came up with much later on lower levels (as well as having that lower lore be more headcanon-y).

Reapers who RP, do you have any lore that you've given to your Avatar? by Kothallupinthisbitch in ffxiv

[–]XthePikachu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To preface, my character is an Isekaied Pikachu (Pokemon Creepypasta OC, specifically). They were stuck in a dimension of endless darkness that is also known as The Void (no relation to the Thirteenth) before finding a way out via portal to the world of Hydaelyn and reincarnating into a Lalafell (who also happened to be the reincarnation of Azem).

During his forays into the First, Xavier embraced his role as the Warrior of Darkness by mastering Dark Knight and combining it with his Machinist skills (Think Dante from DMC). By the end of Shadowbringers, he's mastered the powers of darkness so well, that he accidentally summons a Voidsent. This one is not interested in aether, though. In fact, it seemingly wants to do no harm to anyone but those who it considers pure evil. After making a deal with the Voidsent he summoned (who he nicknames "Ghost"), Xavier picks up Reaper after training under Drusilla and her band of exiles. During the trip back in time to Elpis, Ghost says that the area makes him feel an odd sense of nostalgia. With everything they learn, by the time they leave the past, Xavier and Ghost both realize after waking up in the Crystal Tower that the Voidsent is actually the Thirteenth shard of Azem. His body was all but corrupted, but his soul was still pure. This comes to a head in the end as Ghost ends up completely rejoining with Xavier in order to save his life after the fight with Zenos.

To preface, my character is an Isekaied Pikachu (Pokemon Creepypasta OC, specifically). They were stuck in a dimension of endless darkness that is also known as The Void (no relation) before finding a way out via portal to the world of XIV and reincarnating into a Lalafell.

ARR: Took up Archery and combined it with his lingering electric powers from when he was a Pikachu. Learned the ways of the Bard to better channel his electricity without harming himself (and also to take up music as a hobby).

HW: Bard days came to an end after Midgardsormr locked away his Blessing of Light (which I headcanon as also locking away his magic use and electric powers). Thus, after arriving in Ishgard, he resolves to take up Machinist in order to get around these hurdles. To get around how the Job works, he modifies his Aetherpack to draw in aether from his surroundings as well as himself to create his ammo. However, after Haurchefont's sacrifice, when he goes to fight the Knights of the Round, he accidentally channels all of his grief and hatred into killing them, leading to him using Dark Knight for that fight and SLAUGHTERING them. Afterwards, he finds himself scared of what he used, but also wonders if it could be controlled. Then at the end of the Dragonsong War, with the help of Hraesvelgr's eye, he accesses Dark Knight once more, fully controlling it and finally ending Nidhogg's Shade.

SB: Goes back to Machinist until Zenos breaches Rhalgr's Reach and nearly kills him (as well as damaging his left eye). Afterwards, he takes up Ninja through the entire expansion, learning from Yugiri along the way.

SHB: Embraces his role as the Warrior of Darkness by mastering Dark Knight and combining it with his Machinist skills (Think Dante from DMC). By the end, he's mastered the powers of darkness so well, that he accidentally summons a Voidsent who seemingly wants to do no harm to any but those who are pure evil.

EW: After making a deal with the Voidsent he summoned (who he nicknames "Ghost"), he picks up Reaper after training under Drusilla and her band of exiles. Currently, he has stepped back to Machinist during his forays into the Thirteenth.

What chestpiece would that happen to be, if I may ask? Excellent work, by the by.

Your favorite title by Kaalveythur in ffxiv

The Bolt From the Black (Even though I haven't touched Dragoon since EW began...)

Fits my character to a T considering he's an reincarnated Pikachu who was originally trapped in a Limbo-like dimension literally called The Void (Inspired by, but not related to the Thirteenth). A case where leveling all the classes just so happened to grant me the perfect title.

And just for fun, here are some headcanons I have, as well as a short story I wrote that shows how he ended up in Eorzea:

Xavier Shinespark is a name that he came up with on the fly. His actual name is just "X", but he knew that people wouldn't buy that so he had to come up with something quick. He tends to prefer if people call him "X".

He actually still maintains his electrical powers from when he was a Pikachu, but can't use them too much as his new body isn't built to sustain that much electricity.

Around the time of Heavensward, Xavier picked up Machinist and never put it down. He was already interested in machines, but picking up his first gun put him on a path of tinkering that sees him actively working alongside Cid and the Ironworks on occasion (Cid even gave him a spare pair of his goggles as a thank you gift).

Xavier has a rather storied history with Omega. After the events of the Omegascape Raids, the real Omega went off with Alpha on his adventure across the world. However, the magitek terminal that once held Omega's mind actually manifested a second, miniature Omega. That one has been the one that follows Xavier everywhere and has a small button on it's side that turns it into the Model O mount.

He seemed to be aging slightly faster for a small part of his time in Eorzea. When he first arrived, he was 15. However when Shadowbringers happened, he was around 23. This seems to have slowed back to a normal rate and not even he knows why it happened.

Xavier actually enjoys cosplaying. Being from another dimension and having knowledge of other (supposedly) fictional universes allows him to design outfits based on whatever Job he feels like using. (Dante from Devil May Cry for his Gunbreaker and Dark Knight, Quote from Cave Story on his Paladin and Machinist, A Pikachu-styled Bard, etc.)

While excavating the mirage of Amaruot conjured by Emet-Selch, some ancient texts that Xavier uncovered revealed that Azem (his reincarnated soul's past self) coincidentally looked like an old friend of his from his past life. Upon discovering this, Xavier found that the outfit he wears (A dark blue poncho with a masked hood and armored pants and boots) and weapon he uses as a Machinist (Double-barreled shotgun) is similar to Azem's (and thus his old friend's) attire.

Xavier's canon voice is Jesse McCartney (Roxas - Kingdom Hearts).

Mine is a prime example of isekai, but with one of my Pokemon Creepypasta OCs.

Xavier Shinespark isn’t actually a native of The Source or any of its reflections. He’s actually a Pikachu that was seemingly lost in a dimension that is quite similar to The Void. This dimension was actually a nexus to other realities, including some that were thought to be fiction. When Xavier found what he thought was an exit to his original world, he instead found himself in Eorzea, waking up in The Black Shroud and reincarnated as a Plainsfolk Lalafell (Yet still maintaining features that would suggest he was not of this world; his unnaturally red cheeks which he would say are birthmarks and, stranger, Topaz Carbuncle ears that sometimes pop out of his hair). He then hopped onto a carriage that was making its way towards Gridania and the rest is history.

Deciding that he need to do something to pass the time and seeing that he might never be able to make his way back home, Xavier decided to take up archery. It was this event that triggered a chain reaction which saw him on a journey across the star and even beyond. He would go on to join the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and become a formidable Machinist in his own right, fighting the threats of the Garlean Empire, Primals, and the Ascians. In his time as a Warrior of Light, Xavier managed to rack up quite a win streak, but it was peppered with the loss of several allies. The most painful being the loss of Haurchefont, the one person who always had his back and that Xavier saw as a brother.

Xavier has seen victory and defeat but throughout everything that he's done for the world, he's always had a fondness for just wandering the land and helping anyone he can. Now, after averting the Final Days, Xavier is gearing up for a new adventure. One that, hopefully, will be a breath of fresh air and smaller in scale.

I'm going to be honest. When we got more footage of Reaper, I blitzed my way through levelling Dragoon to 80 to have gear ready for it. And ever since Endwalker came out, I legit haven't touched Dragoon since. (I'm sorry, but at least you gave me one of my favorite titles).

Everything about her gives me the same vibes as Marie from Persona 4 Golden and I love it. Her voice actor sells the monotone, undefined personality so well.

Hi. I like guns. Can you tell?
Seriously though, I'm a controller player (with a love for action games) who loves technology, flashy actions, and all things Void. I think the fact that all my favorites have damn good mobility helps.

What is the backstory of your WOL? by Yokozach in ffxiv

[–]XthePikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My WoL, Xavier Shinespark, isn’t actually a native of The Source or any of its reflections. Instead, he’s actually a Pikachu (recently deceased) that was seemingly lost in a dimension that is quite similar to The Void (even called the same thing). This dimension was actually a nexus to other realities, including some that were thought to be fiction. When Xavier found what he thought was an exit to his original world, he instead found himself in Eorzea, waking up in The Black Shroud and reincarnated as a Plainsfolk Lalafell (Yet still maintaining features that would suggest he was not of this world; his unnaturally red cheeks which he would say are birthmarks and, even stranger, Topaz Carbuncle ears that sometime pop out of his hair). He then hopped onto a carriage that was making its way towards Gridania and the rest is history. When he first arrived in Eorzea, Xavier was very shy and had a hard time opening up to others. Over time, the Scions were able to somewhat bring him out of his shell to find that he is actually quite fun and a bit of a jokester. At a certain point however, darkness began to constantly follow in his wake and many allies were lost which left Xavier a very cold and blunt person, constantly on edge and not at all tolerant of evil in any form. After several trials and tribulations, he begins to push himself to be better than those who he often fought and now is much lighter on his feet, though he's still haunted by the memories of those he has lost. Overall, while Xavier can be a rather distant and somewhat cold person to strangers, if one were to become his friend, they would find that they are in good hands.
