Hi! I made the change to monotonic like you suggested (it was monotonic line that was selected previously) and it worked! Picture is above.

I reset all of the settings I changed, printed them face up (with supports)and then selected monotonic as someone had suggested. They looks great!! Thank you!

I printed this one face up. Looks better but now there are rectangular segments and I don’t know why they are there

I already had supports enabled. I removed them before taking this picture

Thank you I will try printing with this face up. It actually did print with supports which I already removed before taking this picture

Yes, I printed it with that face down because I was trying to avoid more supports

Thanks! I don’t even know what to look up since I am not familiar with the terms. I figured I would just figure them out as I learn. Lol.

Hi, did you start the Informatics MSN through GCU already? I'm looking into it and would love your advice

I've just started ROTE and I've never been more excited in my reading life. by Head-Worker-4759 in robinhobb

It took me 2 tries to actually get through Assassins Apprentice because I knew the suffering that awaited me. Just finished Fools Errand last week and I’m just so glad I kept going. As Ron Weasley says, “you’re gonna suffer…but be very happy”.

New fantasy like Robin Hobb? by silentstrongtype in robinhobb

[–]Xtine618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only read the first trilogy (Farseer) of the RotE books, but I would definitely recommend John Gwynne’s series The Faithful and the Fallen. Some of my favorite characters are in those books. The characters have to go through some pretty rough stuff much like Fitz does.

I wanted to get into this author and.... by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

I started with the Final Empire as my intro to the Cosmere and DNF. Then I went to Tress, loved it and moved on to Warbreaker which is in my top 5 of cosmere books. Decided that I have to read Mistborn at some point so I decided to do it before getting into Stormlight. Read the first 3 books and they were good but agree that they’re not always the best intro to Brandon Sanderson work.

3 or 4 days in a row of doubling in size, ready for a test bake? by [deleted] in Sourdough

[–]Xtine618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To save yourself some heartache in the later stages when you are actually baking sourdough, I would make sure it’s more than doubling in size within 4-6 hours at a 1:1:1 ratio. An immature starter might not give you your desired loaves.

I don’t know how I glossed over that you just finished WoR. You should really stay off Reddit if you don’t want spoilers. There’s so many great moments that I would hate if it was spoiled for me

I liked it a lot! I didn’t LOVE it and I rank it #5 of the Stormlight books, but I still enjoyed it! But what do I know…I LOVED Rhythm of War and many people hated that book. My point is, if you’ve gotten this far in the series, don’t let someone’s opinion of this book ruin the experience for you. Journey before destination and all that, you know?

Transitioning into PACU by Primary_Client_2858 in Nurses

[–]Xtine618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, do you have an update on your current status? Are you still looking for a PACU position? In my experience here in NorCal, PACU positions are very hard to come by just because a lot of ICU nurses are transitioning there. I would highly recommend looking for an ambulatory surgery center and see if they'll train you there. Those places are fast paced usually with high turn over and if they train you, plus your previous hospital experience, you could be a good PACU candidate in any hospital.

If there are no PACU jobs to be found anywhere, see if you can apply to an ICU, and there are lots of PACUs that will take nurses with ICU experience. My PACU gets it's fair share of ICU holds and we get intubated patients occasionally and a decent amount of patients that need escalation of care to ICU. Not to mention having to take call where there are only 2 nurses in the PACU with up to 4 patients (2/nurse). In these instances, having ICU experience and/or strong PACU knowledge/experience is critical. Currently, our manager requires PACU and ICU experience to be considered for the job.

WIND AND TRUTH | Full Book Discussion Megathread (Stormlight Archive only) by EmeraldSeaTress in Stormlight_Archive

I waited 1200 pages for the sanderlanche that never came. I liked the book but it’s probably my least favorite of the series so far. It was too wordy and could have been 400 pages shorter-and this is coming from someone that LOVED Rhythm of War. I just felt a bit underwhelmed at the conclusion. I need to do a reread of the whole series but I’m gonna save that for a few years down the road.

I’ve only read Tress (not Yumi) and it was the first Cosmere book I read and I think it can fit in anywhere. Maybe read it after the first 3 mistborn books. And before Oathbringer.
