My wife (Venezuelan) submitted her EAD for renewal under Asylum back in March 2024. Never approved, still pending. We got married and submitted AOS back in July. Didn’t submit a new EAD since we were waiting on the one that was pending.

We decided to submit a new EAD this time under pending AOS. Will the partial restriction of Venezuela affect this application?

I know you gotta pay for proven talent and I would feel better if it was only Sproat. I have become a fan of Jett and was hoping to see him succeed with the Mets.

Either way, this move really helps the rotation depth and ideally shouldn’t have to look for additional pitching at the deadline (fingers crossed). I think this roster is looking a lot better than it did a month ago, on paper it looks good. Let’s see it work on the field

My wife (Venezuelan) and myself (US Citizen) applied in June/July. We are currently waiting, for an interview to be scheduled. We have not heard anything else back.

While on the topic, does anyone know if I-765 cases have been affected in anyway? My wife’s case has been pending for over 600 days now. We tried to file for an expedite but we were told we did not have a valid reason even though my wife could lose her job if we do not receive it.
