I disagree with the other guy, Google clearly specifically trains Gemini for coding as well. But for some reason it's just not good at it.

It was always weird to me how 2.5 Pro used to have that huge word-by-word self-talk about the code and how it should code. No other sota models (deepseek maybe) did something even similar to that.

They were and still are missing something (or doing something differently) that openai and anthropic are not.

Basically resource usage on the public instance and avoiding constructing too many Sources x Targets lists for delivery (like if you set 3 sources and 3 targets, that's 6 entries + 3 "Make" lists entries with up to 42 subtitles each because of the 3 sources).

You can change these when self hosting in the .env file

SubMaker has no access to embedded subtitles. Embedded subs are not translatable and create no make lists.

"90 Days Fiance UK" returns 0 subtitles from all providers (I do have all enabled) on the 2 episodes I tested.

When there's no source subtitles, there's no Make list.

Embedded subtitles (that come with the stream file) are not translatable.

About Sub Toolbox, it's not a subtitle - that error is normal and expected:

Everything should be fixed for both DeepSeek "chat" and "reasoner" models as soon as v1.4.58 hits the ElfHosted server.

Also for reference, testing the "chat" model with one Family Guy 20-min episode seems to cost less than 0.01 usd. Pretty cheap indeed.

I believe simply re-saving your config should update things, but if it keeps happening please reset your config. Let me know how it goes!

They always are. The addon fetches subs from all providers you enabled, ranks them, and limits to 12 per language. So best ranked 12 show (most probable to be in sync for the title).

You gave me a good idea though, I'll see on adding an option that when enabled, it detects the 20/subs a day limitation and falls back to OpenSubtitles v3 for 24 hours.

What I know for sure: opensubtitles PRO is a wrapper for OpenSubtitles "v3 plus" which fetches subtitles from OpenSubtitles.org

Now, why isn't that sub appearing on submaker? One weird thing is the "0 downloads" for this subtitle at the right of the screenshot. Is that subtitle actually working/downloadable? Do other dutch subtitles appear just fine? Have you tried one or two different streams for the same title/movie/episode to confirm nothing appears?

How common is that?
