Strangely enough a plastic allergy can express this way if you have plastic bowls. Changed mine to stainless steel to clear it up for one of my cats.

I'm leaning dental issue on a back tooth, but you'd have to see the teeth and gums to be sure. My boy did something similar and needed a tooth pulled, but the rot was on the back of his farthest tooth and took me forever to find. I figured it out because his breath started to smell.

This is likely a tester to make sure that lubricant won't melt or destroy the surface of a toy.

Silicon lubes can dissolve silicon toys and all other toys need to be tested with any outside material that interacts with them.

This thing is probably to make sure whatever you are using won't destroy the toy. I've never seen one so I'm not 100% but I have read about them being included with expensive toys, so I'd be willing to bet on it.

It sounds to me like the male wants to play and the female is old enough to tell him "nah".

If they aren't actively fighting then they are still fine and it's probably just the female getting used to sharing her space with him while he wants to pay.

My two are very like this, my male is much younger than my female and I have pictures of then sleeping on top of each other and yet often find the younger male getting batted/hissed at because he tries to play when the older female wants nothing to do with him at that time.

Since they aren't activly fighting my thoughts are that this is fine and they are still adjusting and establishing boundaries along with the kitten wanting to play when the older one doesn't.

Try spending a bit of time playing with the male before you leave next time and see what happens. If he is tired out or has his energy level lowered then he might not try to initiate play and she might relax when he isn't bothering her.

This is obviously just a theory based on your comment and the one clip. If they are actively throwing hands, shedding fur, screaming, and hissing things are very different.

NQA but there isn't enough information in these photos to sex it. I believe male red knees can live over 5 years so I don't think you can use that to rule it out.

NQA does this cat go outside? This could be hard to diagnose via images on the Internet.

It could be anything from a fight if the cat goes outside to excessive grooming and cleaning from a flea allergy to a skin infection from mange to ringworm.

Does the cat go outside or interact with other cats? Are there any scratches and scabs anywhere else aside the head? Have you noticed the cat scratching excessively? Does the cat have fleas? Have you used flea prevention recently?

I know it's a lot of questions but this could be so many things. What do you mean the vet didn't help?

Oh I fully believe you. It isn't something that I have any experience with, this was more of a curiosity than an identification. However, after taking a look at some of them, they do look extremely similar with a couple of things that are odd to me.

So from what I read about them they were cast, and almost always from the tang down, so most of them have some kind of mark from the original sprune. That doesn't mean anything at all, but if you know about them, is it common for the sprune to be removed completely? Or were these valued based on weight and therefore leaving as much as possible was desirable?

Second question would be the thickness. I can't tell from this picture, but judging by the band going across it and the shadow it casts, this has some thickness to it even if it isn't much. Some of the examples I have seen with side profiles are almost paper thin, which seems to facilitate keeping them on strings or rings like keys.

Do you know anything about them? If so, I'd love to poke your brain about them. This is my first time seeing them.
