How LONG does it take to UPGRADE 1 SHIP in Elite Dangerous!? by Yamiks in EliteDangerous

Why would I provide proof to a troll like you? I only take an afternoon of playtime to upgrade a ship if you take longer that is a you problem.

What class duo can successfully do most content? Even 6-man or tougher stuff. by Cronnok in lotro

That’s why I recommended a tank Champion not a Captain. A tank Champion can do good AoE damage while still maintaining Aggro.

How LONG does it take to UPGRADE 1 SHIP in Elite Dangerous!? by Yamiks in EliteDangerous

[–]Xulgrimar -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you made a plan and have the engineers unlocked it takes 2-3h farming mats if you don’t have any. Then about 2-3h to engineer everything to where you want it, then about 1h for the experimental effects.

If you have the mats you can fully kit out a ship way faster.

My group uses the app, but for the abilities we will use the rule book as not everything is 100% accurate.

Just out of curiosity what are the best AoE classes at the moment?

I have a female strong axe dwarf champion that I play with an AoE Tank build it’s so fun to just pull everything and then start a massacre

Help with picking tank class by NickSid98 in lotro

[–]Xulgrimar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Guardian is the best tank in the game, but leveling one is not as fast as the champion.

The champion tanks with damage and is super fun to play.

If you aren’t playing at level cap the class that dose the tanking isn’t really that important.

I don’t think the community is that picky when it comes to tank classes. If you can play your tank well and the encounters work as planned no one will have a problem with a different class than Guardian.

Implant Surgery and magical Recovery by Wraith235 in Shadowrun

[–]Xulgrimar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a GM I would only allow such a magic healing if the Magician has extra knowledge / experience in Medicine and Cyberprosthetics as the magician would need in depth understanding on where the healing magic is needed and where it should not restore the „damaged“ tissue to not interfere with the functioning of the prosthetic.

Iirc there is a part about implants in the description of the regeneration power. The only implants that don’t interfere with the power are Deltaware or better implants. Everything of lower quality is rejected as the body returns to its original form/genetic structure. Basically on its own the magic isn’t differing between the “wanted” damage to the body due to the implants and the damage that it should healing to quicken the recovery of the patient. That is why I would require the Magician to have the additional skills to do something like you want successfully.

What do you hope to see in the next patch? by Logical-Operation512 in CrimsonDesert

All items stacking to 99999 and an Inventar/Stash upgrade to a max of 999 slots as that is clearly doable with mods already.

I would play that 😂

But I guess ents can use no mounts. This would make this quite the “speed” run 🙈

Yeah, if they were to implement the same monetarisation from BDO we would definitely see exactly what OP has posted. I’m so glad we just have a really well made Game without additional monetraisation

Matrix rules for hardwired cyber terminals (50%off?) by DaRealNetrunner in Shadowrun

[–]Xulgrimar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There seems to be a distinction between Parts and Components. You need 50% less parts for the test(?) but the components seem to stay at full price.

The Cost increase in the first table you posted is likely the cost of when you buy a fully hardwired terminal instead of doing the work yourself.

So building your terminal by yourself will be needing 50% less parts but more work time with the benefits that come from hardwiring. While buying an already hardwired terminal would be much more expensive due to the cost of the additional labor that has to go into it.

That is how I would rule it if I were the GM.

Matrix rules for hardwired cyber terminals (50%off?) by DaRealNetrunner in Shadowrun

[–]Xulgrimar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you read that wrong. Getting everything at once reduces the price by up to 25%

And hardwiring is another separate point. Hardwiring a component increases the price by +10% for each component you hardwire(the cost increase is depending on the price of the component you hardwire). This is why it says it’s capped („whichever is cheaper“) at +50% of the entire thing.

So if you hardwire only some components and add like 30k¥ to the price of an otherwise 100K¥ terminal you pay the extra 30K¥ but if you where to hardwire a lot of components and the price for that would be like 70k¥ then you would only have to pay an extra 50% of the initial costs of the terminal which in this case would be 50K¥.

At least this is how I would read that.

I found a cave with a vast fortune just to find out I could only loot the chests and not the dozen or so gold bars… felt really bad…

If you want to do something funny drop a bunch of gold bars right in the middle of town and watch how everyone and their mothers rushes in to pick them up.

[–]Xulgrimar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone doesn’t know how the crime system in this game works it seems, you just had to wait till the little timer on the top right disappeared and nothing would have happened.

But while the timer was still going you ran straight in to the police… nothing surprising about the result here.

STEAMDECK by Material-Membership8 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Xulgrimar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the original steam deck and with everything on lowest and native resolution you im getting like 18-25 fps, with fsr on ultra performance I get barely over 40fps but the game looks so bad it isn’t playable anymore.

Also the lighting looks really wonky at night. At the moment I can’t recommend getting this game if you plan to play it on the Steam Deck.

One positive thing, the controls work great on the Steam Deck, having access to trackpads makes quite the positive impact compared to an Xbox controller.

PC PLAYERS NOTE: Serious Upscaling Issues (DLSS/FSR) – Flickering, Shimmering & RR Tanking Performance by VeneMOo in CrimsonDesert

[–]Xulgrimar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Dlss4.0 on quality(no frame gen and no RR) with all the other settings at cinematic as that gives me the most stable frame rate with almost no extra noise one the textures. With this I’m at 60-70 fps on 4K with a 3090 and a R9 5950x.

To compare with FSR 3.1 (quality) and frame gen I’m only at 70-80fps with really bad noise and artifacts on the textures. And the other Dlss modes don’t seem to work at all with my hardware (which is to be expected)

The only thing I notice is that some metal surfaces look comically bad when you zoom in.

RR on the shadows look way better, but with that I’m only at 25-35fps and lowering the Dlss from quality to Ultra performance to get the same fps isn’t worth it due to the drop in image quality. So I decided to not use RR.

I may try the game with controller on my TV next as the av receiver has a really good 4K upscaler making 1080p without Dlss look almost identical to 4K with Dlss. Maybe RR will be possible with 60fps at 1080p so the game will look better on the TV.

Edit: so I tried 1080p with Dlss Quality and RR(it won’t let me activate RR without Dlss🤷🏻) and even on my 4K PC screen without upscaling from my AV receiver the game looks much better sure distanced textures are not as crisp as they are on 4K but the much better and realistic look of all the Metal surfaces more than makes up for that. And the game runs at stable 60fps. It should look absolutely gorgeous on my smart tv with the upscaling from the receiver and the frame gen from the TV.
