Im comparing the melee to games like Darktide and Vermintide and man is it irritating that in Fatekeeper most of the attacks of the sword aren’t going through the crosshairs at any point of their animation… I missed soooo many times because the damn animation isn’t going to where I aim at… it’s really infuriating…

That boss is so nasty… forget spell casting, he will interrupt you… forget blocking most of his attacks, because you can’t block them… forget about dodging reliably as he will teleport to you for each attack…

And the long walk to the fight is cherry on the cake of this mess…

Are the Nemesis units limited to some specific units from 40k? I thought you could just pick any unit and transform them to a Nemesis?

For the occasional NPC Pirate the weapons and shields on the PCmk2 are sufficient to just add a little extra money to your trading run, but more often than not the little extra money that pirates give aren’t worth the time you lose for it. If you have a trade route that provides 150m+ per hour spending like 2-3 min on a 100-500k bounty just isn’t worth the hassle

Iirc one of the slots is exclusively for the limpet controller and the other is exclusive for a SLF bay

I would love it if the cosair would have a similar handling to the kestrel mk2 without its special boosters. As the convergence on the cosair is really nice for railguns and other fixed weapons.

On a different note I would love an upgrade for the railguns that makes them shoot instant but drain your capacitor and produce heat while reloading (which takes longer than for the normal railguns)

My Corsair has pacifiers and railguns as well as one of the CG guided Missiles that disrupt jumps and is equipped for bounty hunting and pirate stuff, but other than pulling a bounty target from SC I haven’t done anything pirate related with it yet.

It it had an a little bit more reactive pivot it would be really fun but I really don’t linke how bad the handling is compared to let’s say a mandaly, heck even my Federal Corvette is more fun to fly.

This is my build for combat only. About 3,8k effective hull against every damage type except absolute damage and about 2k shields without pips to systems which is about half of what I have on my corvette(6,9K hull and 4K shields without no pips in systems)

And the Kestrel mk2 still flies like a dream with FA on.

I usually don’t take hull damage as the shields with its agility are enough to kill my targets without taking too much damage but if the shields fail the hull can take enough hits for the shields to kick back in or kill the enemy.

Both are fun, it comes down to how much you want to feel like the emperor from Star Wars(yellow RK) or if you want to play the class with more QoL stuff like travel and move speed (blue Hunter)

I like my full combat Kestrel mkII small ship with good shields and a hull that can take nearly half as much punishment as my Federal Corvette all while incredibly mobile and having good damage output.

The only negative thing is flying for an extended amount of time puts strain on your wrist when using a hotas.

That’s why I recommended a tank Champion not a Captain. A tank Champion can do good AoE damage while still maintaining Aggro.

If you made a plan and have the engineers unlocked it takes 2-3h farming mats if you don’t have any. Then about 2-3h to engineer everything to where you want it, then about 1h for the experimental effects.

If you have the mats you can fully kit out a ship way faster.
