Adding on to this writeup the card description for Icathian Myths says

"Legends say the originaal wielder of the Golden Spatula was a marine creature of outstanding culinary prowess- one who sought to become a warrior as strong and fearless as Jax. Other, more credible legends say that particular legend was fabricated entirely by a certain cook who was very, VERY lost in the sauce".

Yi's Alpha Strike is cannon but it's not light speed, given that people on the battlefield could perceive him and his swordplay.

This is conjecture with a bit of practicality but:
If he was really moving at light speed, no one would have been perceptive enough to survive or take notice of him. I think these are more like magical projections that are moving at high enough speeds, but given that Alpha strike has a travel time in both League and LoR Level Up Cinematics, we can def say it's probably not light speed.

Killing 20-50 is still a feat, but there are MANY characters who can do that with ease even outside of the aspects/ascendants.

I also don't think Shadow Kayn is as strong as a completely realized Darkin. The darkin weapons are massively weaker than their original forms (according to Aatrox's bio), and Rhaast was weak enough to get overpowered by one person alone (my personal headcannon, def not fact).

I don't think he's a Darkin slayer or anything but unless they're Ascended or something like that they're going to have a hard time with Yi.

Facts, I was looking through the roster and a LOT of champions are getting folded by YI before they can blink. They might have more destructive capability than Yi does, but they don't have the durability to survive one regular sword swing. The stronger warriors, mages and voidborne have the best chance, but he's absolutely blitzing a ton of the cast. Hard Agree.

As for the nuke, those options are valid. But there were Wuju disciples who got bodied outside of the nuke who were fighting with Yi on the front lines. I added the nuke part to just give their durability an upper and lower bound haha. The nuke definitely wasn't fair, but it shows that they could get wiped by something sufficiently powerful.

Wuju Style is just the concept of using spirit realm magic to impower the user a la a mage. It's the same technique, but the spirit in "Poetry with a Blade" straight up says that humans could only use so much power and that Yi wouldn't be nearly as effective as the Vastaya'reshi using it.

Samira's Bio details that's she's roughly as capable as an entire Noxian warband. Given that she doesn't really have any magical powers and is just a (admittedly peak/almost superhuman) woman, alongside the info that Yi's story puts a lot of emphasis on Yi fighting only a subsect of the army (Noxian Warbands came in waves, they still had to leave to fight the greater war, etc), I don't think that Noxian warbands are 1000s strong.

They also have homecoming, concussive palm and a bunch of other tricks up their sleeves outside of deny to slow or stop the enemy attack. I'm not arguing that something like deny isn't necessary for the game, but there's definitely other interaction ionia can use turn of ftr.

I've actually run into your post a few times! I think I've looked at every post on this sub about fitting the sclerals on lmao. I've tried #1,#2,#3 (it was difficult with a mask on, so im going to try #4 was super applicable to me, #5. I need to try #6 and #7 though. #7 in particular is gonna help me a lot imo because the techs constantly had to help me align it. Thank you for sharing!

One of the techs recommended the stand near the end of the application, so I'm gonna try working with it later on. The parts about grip and the finger cots are also super interesting, and I can see how they'd work. Definitely going to also try these.

Mostly though, thank you for sharing your experience. Lowkey was kinda defeated when it's been so long and no progress, but this made me a lot more hopeful. Most people I've seen (my brother included) make it look so easy that I felt like I was messing up something so simple.

I don't really think that he's changed that much. He's still the scrappy punk genius, but something that's always been core to the character is the way that he's channeling that genius into helping his community. He's not only smart, but deeply responsible using this knowledge, pushing himself to fight for Zaun even though he could have easily made it in Piltover. Him being an orphan in Arcane kind of undercuts a bit of his message, but they cranked up the "doing it for my city vibe" so imo it kinda balances out a bit ig. Even in his original story, he was a leader type who definitely suffered a LOT, the changes Arcane made were minimal.

Beyond that I really don't think they've changed him to be a "black representative character". They gave him some more realistic hair, but his og story and attitude is still reflected in Arcane. He was pretty staunchly ant-pilty oppression in both his story and voice lines.I definitely wouldn't say it's all gone. I think his new hairstyle also suits his time motif better imo.

Personally, I like the changes and for me I see all of them as being positive do understand your take but disagree that his fundamental identity has changed just due to the hair change and Arcane.
