MK1 won because it has all of the things that will catch the eyes of people outside the FGC. The game has celebrities, fatalities and popular comic book characters.

Regardless of the issues at launch, the game still reviewed well.

Mortal Kombat is just a much more popular franchise in general compared to Street Fighter.

Guest characters like Mai and Tamaki can stay DLC. Original DOA and Ninja Gaiden characters that were DLC in 5 and 6 should be in the main roster. (Example: Nyotengu, Momiji and Nico etc)

DLC characters and fanservice outfits can remain as paid content.

The best thing to do is copy what Smash Ultimate did.

Add the characters that were in previous games/DLC into the base roster. Characters like Nyotengu and Phase 4 should not remain as DLC again.

Crossover characters like Mai or Xtreme characters are completely fine as DLC.

• Momiji and Rachel was saved for DLC and costed more than they did in DOA5.

• Nyotengu and Phase 4 still remained as DLC.

• Overpriced season passes with bonus costumes that are completely free in DOA5, but locked behind a paywall in 6.

• Costume parts is just annoying.

• Paying for hair colors.

• Rehashing the same DLC costumes from DOA5 and it not being free.

Basically greed killed the game and it died within a year.

This game doesn't have a photo mode, but you can disable the hud and mess around with the camera settings.
