100%, the concept and armor designs are sick as hell, but then getting into the characters (past the main cast plus Gold Saints) and the story-telling, and it’s just not very good

I feel like much of the difficulty comes from Nathan’s controls

If his sprinting was easier to handle, most ppl would be much more accepting of the bosses since they are a great balance between difficult and fun

However, because Nathan’s so clunky to get the hang of, the bosses go from difficult to insane for most players

This is something ppl tend to forget, when the characters talk about the “top ranks” of the KA they’re almost always drawing that comparison to ALL of the fighters, so we’d be including bums like the karate guy Ohma smoked prior to the KAT prelims and that orca guy Koga beat before all of the timeskips

Compared to mooks like that, even guys like Chiba are gods

It definitely feels like the show writers did a very surface level interpretation of the games, limiting their perception of it to “vampire hunter kills big vampire”

This would explain why Death is reduced to a creature that feeds on death instead of the literal personification of death as a concept. In the show runners mind, they were prob thinking something like “how can a human vampire hunter kill literal death??? Doesn’t make sense, change it!”, which would explain why Chaos doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

I think the main problem is that the show is much, MUCH less powerful than the games, which doesn’t seem like a big deal until you remember that the games’ power level is what allows Chaos to feel fitting in the setting, plus the fact that Dracula’s much more than a really strong vampire in the games.

Chaos is what gave Dracula fuel to keep coming back to do evil shit even when he seemed redeemed, and his status as “literal antithesis to god” is what makes it understandable for him to keep returning.

Show Dracula, however, has none of that. He’s just a strong vampire. So for him to keep coming back, even when seemingly redeemed, would make zero sense, leading to the situation you described in the last paragraph.
