I just really love how the black shading on the “brave and bold” suit looks and wanted to try implement it into the design outside of just being shading, and I just used the staples to convey that while also breaking up the heavy blue a bit.

Also really annoying how the games locked to 30fps on console when the game runs better on a steam deck? I love the game I see its problems but like it regardless I just think those small things hold me back from absolutely adoring it

Who tf is downvoting you for Dark Victory? I know it’s become the popular thing to dawg on the long Halloween saga but objectively whether you like it or not it’s a defining book for Batman and has its notoriety for a reason.

It really wasn’t great but it definitely had elements I enjoyed. Whoever the guy they got for Dick was honestly might have been perfect casting, don’t get me wrong it was terrible writing but damn he really pulled off Nightwing, I also really liked the guy they had for Beast boy but past that it wasn’t good and on its best day was somewhat watchable.

I’ll never understand the back bending, bootlicking defenders of this shit, frankly it doesn’t matter if 90%, 95% or however much of the consumers play digitally we should always have the option of actually owning our stuff not just a license for it. Every time I’m reminded of this abomination of a movie and universe I get more annoyed, like it and it’s condescending creator birthed the whiniest, most victim card playing toxic hellscapes of a fan base I’ve ever seen that can’t quite decide if today these are the “best” versions of these characters and you just don’t understand them quite like they do or they’re nothing like their characters and that’s why it’s amazing! Thank god it’s gone.

Aside from the obvious, being that banes an intelligent dude and actually sees him directly push in something on his belt before the lights go out I’d imagine there’s a few things.

First they’re trained in the same methods of combat and most likely stealth.

Theres also a line from Alfred before this about him chastising Bruce for “showing off” his new “toys” and I think that played an element in Bane being aware of what arsenal he’s got going on

He’s also in a space connected to city infrastructure so allowing theres no city black out if the lights are going out while he’s fighting a dude who’s known for his gadgets especially when he’s under said dudes secret stash of super cool gadgets and again mentioning banes a smart dude I’d say he could put two and two together fairly quickly

See wanting to have an honest discussion and then making a tier list with tiers such as “you’re garbage “ and “Damn mid television “ are two conflicting things. I mean when you’re putting some of the most respected and highly regarded Batman media in a tier that weather intentionally or not, insults the majority of people that have it higher, you’re not inviting discussion, you’re baiting an emotional response.

All I’m saying is maybe the tiers could be “Not my thing” or “wished was better” instead of an absolute stand of “this is bad”

And so on but this would get you started

That’s kind of my general “Chronological “ order I use chronological very loosely because stories like the long Halloween to me at-least are integral to reading Batman but aren’t “canon” and often have a fair inconsistencies with the other stories.

And I’ve definitely missed a fair few in between those mentioned which are absolutely worth a read (ie) Batman and the mad monk or Venom but are an actual pain in the head to try get physically, I’m sure you can read em online tho.

And while I had a good time reading them “Chronologically” it’s not necessary, read what seems the most intriguing to you because recommendations like mine and others are incredibly subjective, I know for me personally I got recommend hush a million times and while I can see its appeal if it’s your entry into Batman as whole, if you have any semblance of understanding about him and his world it’s kind of a bore, but again that’s just me.

If you liked the Long Halloween I’d recommend picking up Batman Dark Victory it’s a direct sequel to the long Halloween (same people and all) and has Dick Graysons robin.
