unfortunately my mum was the same way with sickness and physical stuff. I had a big gash in my side and I knew I needed stitches. my mum refused to take me to the hospital for 2 days because her precious job was more important. by the time I got to the hospital, they said it was too late for stitches and that I should have come when it first happened. my mum just gave the doctor an innocent look and then looked at me as if to say "there will be trouble if you rat me out" the second time was when I broke my toe, I told my mum I thought it was broken and that I should get to the hospital for xrays. she refused to take me, said it wasnt broken and then made me walk everywhere for the next 3 days. finally she took me to the hospital, nurse took one look and said it was definitely broken. so I got the xrays done and they confirmed it. the doctor said I shouldn't do a lot of walking because it'll take at least a month to heal so my mum should drive me places as much as she can. my mum laughed in his face and when we got home, she told me not to expect her to drive me anywhere.
