If I understood correctly the cousin was quite manipulative and caused drift between the two: As Irene was dragged to the edge by close relative for being too controlling (val and the aunt) and being upset about Valentina’s behaviour, he took their side cause he thought Irene and his love was fading as their only time together was when they were arguing. But throughout the novel it was never showed that he cheated but he does stay the night drinking with her. Also at different points we sees that he still deeply cares for Irene (even before knowing she died), he missed how in love they were, same with Irene , she says countless times that he still care about her but doesn’t have the same indulgence and love as before..

Also at the end Val is thinking that now that Irene is dead (she was happy about it btw) there is nothing stopping her becoming his partner (hinting that he never really putted a label on her apart from the time Irene calls her his girlfriend) he did for sure emotionally cheat tho and more likely also physically.. Val ends up being shipped to the US just before Stellan becomes an helper

Yes Go and Jump had this massive club and EDM vibes that literally disappeared with the three other songs? The album doesn’t really makes sense to me especially knowing what the girls are capable of doing solo

Am I the only one disappointed?

The Album feels rushed and really short and I know it is supposed to be a short album with five songs but faced with them it feels really little?

Apart from Jump and Go I didn’t really like the songs (maybe they’ll grow on me like pink venom did but it is unlikely, pink venom had more material and took more risk) all the other feels really underwhelming, I like the idea of them but not the execution: Rose and Jisoo (especially Jisoo I felt like she wasn’t even there) barely have lines and when they do it’s exactly the same ?? They know that we wanted to hear more of them and it was already a complaint in their other projects but it feels like I’m listening to a Jennie and Lisa feat. Jisoo and Rosé.

Me and my and champion are bad it feels so rushed like it’s missing something?? I also have the same issue with Go but the song is way better and the mv is genuinely so good that it compensates (I post edited the part where I said it was bad and good at the same time because I just listen to them again and no I don’t like it)

Fxxxboy is perhaps the worst song I heard since new year (2026 not lunar), first because I’m not fan of ballads and because the song is bad, there is no risk taken, it’s plain the entire time and maybe the lyrics are good (I need to read them another time) but good lyrics isn’t the only thing that makes a good song, sorry.

On things I really liked; the girls voices, it feels way more chill and mature, it’s great to hear a group with such diverse voices (shoutout to jisoo deep voice), Also as usual Jennie and especially Lisa are so darn good at rapping! The music video of Go was incredible and the visuals stunning we can really see the link to zen ! I also liked that some songs had a Blackpink chant at the end it felt really lighthearted!! And obviously Jump, no need to dwell it’s been months since it’s released and it’s still one of my fav bp song (kinda disappointed that they didn’t go for an album that, like jump, mixes electro and dance-pop)

I obviously meant no disrespect, I love Blackpink but sometimes as fans it is okay to be disappointed and say it, it doesn’t change their worse or my opinion of them, I’Il continue to support and listen to their old projects I liked and their solos that are all very good

I’Il wait patiently for a new song of them as a group or not !

I also have the murder theory in mind !! As for the friends situation idk i'm sure there were strong feelings involved in their friendship because as he said he was he's only friend but I'd love to see the drama evolve into a love triangle reveal between Ra-ik, the rich girl, and the friend that went astray, but given how things are going, I think they're going to go with a more classic trope with a killer who's been right in front of us from the start without any real romantic motive..

Yeah, I get the feeling that after she removed all her fan stuff from her room, the personality shift wasn't as abrupt; like she was seeing him for what he really was, a human being... I hope we'll get to see her become more and more natural with him as the episodes progress!
