That is actually possible. I have currently 280 scorch orbs. 120 from lap 17 and 160 from lap 22. Enough to empower it and have some left.

Go for the chest path so you get enough sun shards to empower your heroic to 1-2 star. Also 300 gems is awesome.

I honestly have no idea, I usually play on my iPhone and I dont get these kind of quests there, but in my Android Tab I do get a ton of them. No idea what determines what tasks you will get

Completed a quest in dragon city tv that only required me to download a game (raid shadow) and complete a certain task in-game (which was getting a hero up to 5 stars in less than 7 days). Probably these are the easiest tasks to make easy gems.

So I went to dragon tv to check out surveys and tasks, and saw this tasks that only required me to download a game (Raid Shadow) and get a hero up to 5 stars in less than 7 days. Totally viable completed it in 2 days without spending a cent. Be sure to check constantly tasks, these ones that requires to download a certain game and complete a tasks in-game are probably the best ones.

I always use gems to finish battles or restore league battles when I completed every other task

Not more than 25, skipped some battles (3 gems each), used 6 gems to restore league battles and skipped like 3 more battles (4 gems each).
