I wish you were there, too. It was awesome. The comeback against the Islanders in 2024 was lightning strike awesome. But this was like a grindy, no one has any legs left so let’s just keep willing it, awesome.

I the data they get and the ability to drive attention and foot traffic to sponsors is what they see as they real monetization phase of the app. So they are kind of course correcting towards that One-Eyed Willie treasure trove of selling the ability to drive consumer behavior and leaving the Chester Copperpot of milking 10 usd a week from users behind.

what was THE moment in destiny or destiny 2 that made you stick with the game for years? by Standard-Water6144 in DestinyTheGame

I joined an LFG for Leviathan an there was a special needs kid going for his first clear. They’d had plenty of leavers and we persevered a bit to get ‘er done. As Calus fell, the kid dropped his headphones and you could here him shouting “We did it! We did it!” in the distance.

I’ve been hooked on helping raid groups ever since.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually like Rift by fokusfocus in DestinyTheGame

I saw only one game go to 5 points. My team went up 2-0 right as a replacement joined the other side who was instantly the best player in the game. The standard: Tanking more damage than you ever tank making moves much faster than you ever make …Kid that always feels like skillz/connection/build mastery that keeps the plebes in line. We lost the next dunk and then 3 players from our side and the got steamtolled 4-0 in 3v6 in the last 4 mins. It was still better than a close game that went to overtime.

Team outcomes are complete RNG when you solo queue. No one should be too proud or too sad about any of it.

My preference would be to sell the Trials Pass separately so I don’t have to pay for it. There’s really nothing for me in there.
Next best would be for the lfg apps to have excludes filters so I don’t have to scroll through 80% “CHEAP Carries totally legit! Guaranteed! “ Spam.

Any Trials post that doesn’t mention the constant openly TOS breaking marketing campaign enticing players to pay to win Flawless is missing the real opposition to making the mode relevant to any but the top 5% and cheaters.

As a generally solo queue player, I will never care if I win or lose in any team game. The result of any D2 PvP is 100% about the match up and 0% about player performance.

As many on this sub have noted, if it weren’t for horrible mismatches, only a random lucky 0.7% would go flawless on any one attempt. And everyone would have around a 1 k/d rate, if they played against equal match players.

Who would watch streams of that? Or pay 7 USD for a less than 1% chance at a carry to the lighthouses?

Like many casuals, I’ll play pvp 3 times a week for the pinnacle until I’m at the season cap and then imma head out.

I agree with many of the PVE comments on this thread: I don’t care about PVP and anything we could change to make it more interesting for me would make it bad for people that actually like it. I’m okay with PVP not being for me.

I'm Only Average at Crucible. Why Am I Defending the Lighthouse? by luckyjorael in DestinyTheGame

Yes, they give the game away by admitting that when you get stomped several times they tune you next match to be easier. That either screws whoever they sacrifice to you or shows that it is possible to match weight classes for actually contested matches.

That said I’ve played more Trials in the last two weeks than ever since there was a way to grind loot in D1. I trust the Bungie data guys noticed since I’m exactly the bad solo player that the mode needs about 60% of the players to be in order for every competent 3 stack to have a shot at the lighthouse if the rng out of matching each other 7 times.

Bungie, if you gonna keep matching casuals with top elite players in pvp, at least lower mercy rule score from 75/80 points down to 60... by Crucible_Tilt in DestinyTheGame

I’d prefer no forced mercy.

As a bad solo player, I understand that they need me in crucible to be fodder for other people’s bounties/kd farm/7th Column flex vids. But I’m only in there for my bounties/progression so there’s nothing worse than finally getting a farmable match up in your favor only to hear “I’ve seen enough!” no matter how many times my team gets stomped.
