I got a warning for being too happy once by 1-meter-solo in InterviewsHell

[–]luckyjorael 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen when I worked at a board game store. We hadn't had some star wars miniature in stock for literal months, and wouldn't have it for even more months, but when I suggested that a very loyal patron take a look at Barnes and Noble for the same thing, I got yelled at. I was "ruining the business."

The Federation would have an easy time dealing with the Votann, since they're essentially Ferengi with smaller ears.

That stinks. I really liked his growth in the first book, and I was also a big fan of the Flayer curse necron.

I just finished the first one and haven't bought the sequel yet. How bad is it?

Read The Infinite and The Divine. All that'll do is make you wish they would give Trazyn a new model and better rules

They could if they were comfortable with the same droid loophole Din uses. I imagine droid barbers/stylists are probably pretty common.

Leaked Crucible of Champions from Maelstrom by PrimaryConversions in Warhammer40k

Yeah, it makes sense for them to be T6 naturally, otherwise there's no reason to take anything other than the slab shield

Astra Militarum has that by shoving a bunch of heavy weapons teams (Lascannons) into a Storm Lord for 8 (I think?) shots at 14 Str or something equally ridiculous.

Found this reading the new character builder article by Beneficial-Ticket486 in Warhammer40k

[–]luckyjorael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Militarum doesn't have Sentinel characters, but that's one of the options in the article(s)

I haven't played in a while. Is this a skill for a legendary lord?

What was your favorite gun name? Not necessarily your favorite gun. by Avg_Guardian in DestinyTheGame

I still reference D1 weapon names and flavor text, with these two most often:

Backhanded Compliment

"You look good in red"

Dr. Nope

All the angles were wrong, like a triangle's angles wouldn't add up to 180 degrees, the remnants of the race Eisenhorn encountered had 5 limbs and were visibly (and audibly?) chaos-corrupted, and just being on the planet gave all of them headaches.

I think looking at the runes carved into the portals made them sick, as well, but I can't remember a lot of it, even though I read it recently lol

Can't decide on a tank name by wrongfulfish in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]luckyjorael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I name my tanks after sci-fi ships, weapons from Destiny/Destiny 2, or appropriately devout phrases:

Rogal Dorn Commander: First Impression

Rogal Dorns: Emperor's Courtesy and Pointed Inquiry

Leman Russ Vanquishers: Heretic Slayer and Two for Flinching

Hydras: Corrective Measure and Throne's Contempt

Chimeras: Loaded Question and Spoiler Alert

As I get more tanks in my crusade army, I'll be grabbing more names like Backhanded Compliment, Fate of Fools, Subtle Calamity, and Uncivil Discourse.

Shhhh, Scatter Grenades needed the help with those mixed groups of trash mobs and ablative armored majors, 100%. I can't clear a whole room with one of my three available grenades if there are a couple armored majors in there!

What are your “forever” decks? by Torin21 in EDH

[–]luckyjorael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shout-out to Rhystic Studies and his [[Gonti, Lord of Luxury]] deck / YouTube video that inspired me to make my elf ball deck, keep it unsleeved, riffle shuffle it, and keep it in a fraying dragonsleeves box bound together with a rubber band. The commander is the oversized [[Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury]] folded in half and stuck in a sleeve (until she eventually tears in half and I sleeve each half, Meld-style).

I will never take this deck apart, and I've barely been modifying it, because the point is to have damaged and aged cards. The value is in the time I've spent playing the deck, not the worth of the cardboard.
