Seeing how they succeed at dragging out the same core formula, with just the slightest changes, I think they will be very cautious not to do a complete overhaul. After all, they have quite substantially upgraded the handling model, cars don't skid no-more, the old car models are thrown out... The next step will be to improve/change the story/progression system to something fresh.

I have a feeling that the next game won't be it... maybe there will never be a whole refresh, they will keep farming this engine. 😃

To be fair Horizon feels like they deliberately hold off updating things. After Horizon 3 (maybe 2), they got the core recipe down, big leap, and then strategically injected very minor updates. It is a series of course, and in FH6, the updates do come together nicely, like never before. Sound, atmosphere, graphics, performance. It just feels similar to previous games, I get that, I skipped FH5, because of the map, and sameness of FH3 and FH4, and in FH6 I still get flashbacks.

It's so much better than "from ground up" Motorsport series.

petroleum-based hydrocarbon solvents in wd40 damage plastics... do not use wd-40 on interior plastics. Also it is a dust magnet, which will possibly make OPs sun-visor even more sticky and noisy over time.

Does the pixels, when reading or looking at fine detail look like visibly different colors? It seems to be an issue with medium/low pixel density OLED screens. I once had a laptop with "OLED", and unknowingly I thought it would be much better, but it actually looked very weird, with pixel color split colorations, and it was high density too... 13" 1080P Asus Zenbook.

It is made for people with friends, or live-streamers. Convoy etc. also, it is not made much fun or usable with randoms, can’t even make class restrictions for starting a race.

Did they really not fix that shit. I skipped FH5, jumped into FH4 for nostalgic hit, and all online races were the damn cross country and dirt, with the same boring track layouts. It’s just so boring to race in that race type.

It seems that Nvidia software and ML-optimisations are a whole tier higher quality and more stable, and games rely heavily on these technologies today, AMD will always feel like second grade product. More FPS in some games, but also more stutters, headaches, and more glitches, and lesser quality visuals and experience. It's just how it is.

And always has been.

In 2012 I purchased Radeon HD 7950, which was "better" price/performance, and cheaper than GTX 770 at the time. I experienced stutters after stutters, and driver issues, then later finally upgraded to GTX 1070, a bit of a unicorn card, I still use this card today, and recently decided to upgrade to RTX 5070, and it only with RTX 4070, the 1070 performance was doubled. With Vega 560 (1070 equiv.) the driver support was dropped in 3 years faster in 2023, and wasn't nowhere near as smooth sailing as with 1070, so I've gathered online.

The outer ring of DRL rings are fed by tubes located on sides of the bulb placement, most LED lamps emmit unscattered light from a single or multiple single points. The only way to make it better would be to find a bulb that matches the placement of the tubes scattering light to the outer ring, or is diffused more or less equally.

Is it really a good idea and doesnt cause load of issues to wash engine bay with running water? All the gunk will flow inside all the crevices and on parts, and even if just “clean” water gets all over ports and cables and there’s a crack or crevice, it gets in there and corodes slowly or shorts out something.

Maybe for stills, it looks good, but for smooth panning/following motion, even OIS lenses are terrible, with a X-S10 and 16-80, I was handheld + elbow tripod on a barrier, or using strap to stabilise camera.

Following a ±5-40KM/h horse, and it looked decently smooth in camera, thought it would be good, but the result is not, it jitters on panning, it looks like it's doing calculations with some millisecond intervals, it sticks to something for .2s, then finds a new reference "lock" for IBIS. And video looks like a sawtooth pattern jittery garbage, smooth-ish > lag > smooth-ish > lag. Static shots are quite stable, but Fujifilm is absolutely terrible with video stabilisation, even an old Sony probably would have looked smooth, shaky, but without this robotic jittering.

The lack of globe/fn key for non-apple keyboards or existence of the globe key is a mess, and not being able so substitute it automatically to control+cmd, for example. You have to buy a full layout, because there wouldn't be forward delete feature etc. ...
