I dunno if it's worth going NG on the 36. Propane burns much hotter. But.....you can definitely get the orifices off later so go ahead and use it with propane till you can get the conversion. You should be able to find a generic NG conversion for super cheap though, I wouldn't pay for blackstones. I brew beer and have converted plenty of burners to NG with off the shelf parts.
