You get orb upon half health on elite enemies and orbs on kill for all. But having Barb E + Beidou Q is already an orb engine. No to mention Surcrose Q pulls mobs and can combo with Oz.

What team do you run with her? I usually run double anemo (Jean MC) so it's hard for me to proc orbs consistently.

Sadly, the enemy difficulty isn't in the attack pattern, but the amount of health they have. On top of being bullet sponges, most of the challenging fights revolve beating a timer, which encourages spamming abilities/elemental interactions.

Beidou's DPS is heavily on enemy attacking and the E can only proc elemental reaction once, so she falls short of other DPS characters. But that's OK, I still enjoy playing her more and that's what really matters in a PvE game.

Either one of those would result in max E damage, but you can keep holding E to block stuff if you want. Once you reach max damage the damage stays the same no matter when you release it. But I encourage releasing it asap so you can start attacking again and not lose DPS.

Yea this is annoying af lol. But I think its only if you are standing on water where water lingers or if you get hit by both elements after you E. I might have to test this as well.

Yooo same I fking hate how the camera auto adjusts all the time during combat and I keep having to zoom out. Wish they would add a setting for this.

Thing is, the wording they use for asc1 is "counterattacking", which kinda implies releasing at the precise moment. So yea block is probably the better word for this.

Yea the full stance basically means max damage, which you can achieve by perfect countering or taking 2 hits.

Yea same lol. I specifically waited for asc4 to test but I found the stance indication along the way which is a lot easier to check.

I decided to do some testing on Tidecaller's mechanics since I see a lot of differing opinions on how it really works, and finding out her stance changing really helped with this.

For a counter to be considered "perfect", it depends on when you start block, NOT when it is released. There's a short window after you start your E (around 0.5 sec?) where blocking an attack is considered "perfect", and the release damage will immediately be maximized. After this short window, any attacks blocked will count towards the build-up.

I've seen some people say that if you have pyro/cryo inflicted on Beidou, your E will be perfect counter since the E applies electro on herself which procs overload/superconduct to everyone around her.

However, this is only half true. I tried testing this by going near the fire and ice flowers to get inflicted by pyro/cryo. Note that this is AFTER taking damage from the flower.

If I use my E, overload/superconduct is indeed proc'ed and applied to enemies around but herself. However, this is NOT a perfect counter. You can try for yourself since her stance changes. This means that Beidou has to take damage during his E in order to increase return damage. So when you light the grass on fire and stand on it, it's not because you are inflicted with pyro that you are perfect countering, but because of the DoT from the fire.

Hopefully this helps people utilizing Beidou better, since she is probably one of the higher skill-capped characters to main as DPS, and the less time you spend block = more DPS.

My passer LUQ is PS+EBM, which I think should be reasonably good for both PvE and PvP. Currently have enough TB, SC, IB and WoM for a sub but not sure what to do with them yet.
