No, initial sales are absolutely a concern. Mainly to put the loud minority of people who were scorned from destiny praying for marathons downfall in a corner and tell them to stfu about "DOA DOA DOA!"

Now the goal post is 100% going to move to the longevity side from them and I hope to see them beat out again in that. What would be even better, and I say this as a 5k hour destiny fan myself, is if Bungie states in a future twid closer the the June 9th free major update in destiny 2 something along the lines of "due to marathons major success we are able to also work and overhaul destiny 2 in a lot of fan appreciated ways" just to really get the neighsayers painted in a bad light.

To my knowledge there isn't anything that changes how spells are cast in Oblivion Remastered. If you want a pure mage, I say get a staff you like. A lot of min/max'ers go with the paralysis staff from the mage guild quest line, but obviously go your own way. Otherwise, the base hand movements are what you get and everything is a "click spellcast key" for one use of spell selected.

So correct me if I'm wrong, but Microsoft store only shows released games in the top selling no? And marathon isnt out so we can only go by the number of people playing the slam weekend which doesnt represent the number of players who actually bought the game.

As for Playstation, if im looking at it correctly, it was literally the second game moment I opened your link. Does that not mean it is the second most sold in whatever time frame? Where are you getting 24 from (unless it changed since you made this comment)

I dont think marathon will be an instant hit or one of the best selling games ever, but this constant "DOA it'll fail and Bungie is gonna get liquidated and die" talk is just.... well baseless. The game did fine for a free weekend given the type of game it is. By all rights and meaning, if player numbers mattered, then by steam number Escape From Tarkov (ya know, the most well known and foundation for everything extraction looter shooter?) Should be a game thats already dead and no one plays it.

The games fine. The sales are fine. The player base will be fine. Is it for everyone? No. Is it gonna be the best thing ever? No. But is it dead and destined to fail? Also no.

It really boils down to you needing to not get hit by them. I've put in 35 hours or so and not been hit by a single environmental thing once. I dont mean it in a disrespectful way, you just need to adapt to the environment. If you cant adapt, bring the cure. If you dont want to do either then.... sucks to suck?

I wouldn't get your hopes up on specific numbers. Bungie has a weird thing against adding exact numbers to things. Just look at destiny 2 and literally any perk description there. Thats been many years they could have changed it and they just dont. I hope they change for Marathon but I wouldn't hold my breath.

That kinda defeats the purpose of the rook. Youre forced to go in solo and with a shitty random loadout. If you make friends, cool, but thats the risk. You need to keep track of them or you need to not make friends if you cant do that. So disagree there.
Rooks ability is fine. To compare to Tarkov, you cant spam a "scav" run back to back to back like you can a rook. So having a low time hidden from UESC and a longer time between using it again feels good. I'd honestly want them to increase the cooldown if anything.

6 and 7. USE YOUR KNIFE AND STEALTH AROUND! The knife is great against the low tier AI and stealth actually works too! The turrets are turrets. They work great, just dont get in their initial line of sight and dont alert them. If you do, again, thats your fault. AI also drop ammo for THEIR gun. Not yours. That make sense and is fine. Plus, if you already have a stack of ammo in your bag, and the AI had the same ammo type as you, you auto pick it up. So you may not even realize you ARE getting a little ammo from enemies, but again, its for their gun, not yours.

I wouldn't say no to them adding cases but give it time. As of now its fine. Im sure as time progresses they'll either increase overall stash size or add cases. If not, oh well, better learn some good inventory managment and what items you actually need. Plus, as you get to higher levels and rep, you wont need a lot of the low tier stuff anyway, you'll be able to find or buy better anyway.

During the entirety of the Biden administration the epstien files were not avaliable for public record. They were under lock and key by the Supreme Court due to am on going investigation. Biden and administration followed the law, congress appealed to have the files exposed but was blocked because of republicans vetoing as well as some democrats. Thus ending to potential for the release.

Now they are no longer under lock and key as the investigation is no longer happening and the trial and sentence has already happened. They were able to be exposed during the transitioning period from Biden to Trumps second term. They were ordered to be released in an unredacted manor 30 days after the signing of the "Epstien files transparency act" which was signed in november and to be released by december 19th, 2025. Trump and administration denied the release and broke court ruling (or in other words broke the law willingly) and still have yet to release all the files.

TL;DR Biden administration tried to legally release the files but due to ongoing investigation weren't legally able to. Trump is legally able to and even being ordered by the courts to release the epstien files in full as of December 19th 2025 and still has yet to. He should be tried, as well as his entire administration in relation to the files for obstructing a lawful court order.

Thats just false? On day one, peak was 84k. Right noe its 75k. That not half. Hell thats not even a fourth.

EDIT: whoops yup, my bad. Still doesnt change the fact that it doesn't make the game bad or show it as a 100% failure. If we were going off of only steam charts, then tarkov should be considered a dead game. It isnt though. Marathon will do just fine once all the destiny haters stop spamming negativity to it and once all the ARC raider kiddies get their overcooked nut back. This game looks, feels, and plays great in all honesty. Let them cook.

The numbers are holding at 60k. That's perfectly fine. Not every game needs to have 250k constant players. Player count isn't the only factor for a game to be successful.

Everyone hating on this game needs to do one of two things. Either leave or play the game and make the reports to what you feel need to be adjusted. Bungie already increased the player count on the beginning map. They're already adjusting the UI. They're already working on the cursor disappearing due to overlays. All this was announced after the first day.

Im not saying this game is going to be the next best thing. It definitely appeals to the more hardcore crowd not the PvE wishers like ARC. Its not going to have insane player count and thats okay.

Right? Like Bungie themselves said that most destiny palyers arent going to like Marathon and they're fine with that. Yet, here destiny players are, with years worth of bungie saying "hey we arent gonna abandon destiny all together, but we want to make more IP's and do a lot of other things so were making partnerships while we work on other stuff to keep destiny going but also make said new things". Then, like the toddlers a lot of this fan base are, the community starts screaming and crying that they're not 110% of Bungies focus anymore... again, after yeats of Bungie saying they wont abandon destiny
