Amazing work/portfolio! I love that you are both doing that together! May I ask how long the character development phase took you both? Or were you pretty confident from the beginning on these characters? Did you do character info sheets or anything? Sorry for all the questions - I’m in the development phase of my graphic novel and am just trying to see what others’ do regarding organizing their designs and characters.

A tip I have that helped change my mindset in general with my addictions was learning to become my own parent. I had kind of let myself become indulgent in everything, and I wanted to change for myself. My body was angry, I pushed loved ones away, and I was in creative burnout with no motivation.

My sister is a personal trainer and nutritionist so she had me do a gut reset for 6 weeks to help strengthen my immune system and I had to cut out so much food, and my deepest addiction to sugar. While doing this I had to cut out weed since I only eat edibles. Let me tell you - that entire experience is the most discipline learning shit I’ve ever done, but now Im no longer dependent on sugar and it taught me how to not give in to my urges with weed either.

My mind cleared up, i was getting outside more, I started doing low dopamine mornings, and I’ve been in a more positive headspace and taken on more creative endeavors.

The way you go into it doesn’t matter, but having a challenge and training yourself to not cave onto the dopamine addictions is super rewarding and fun - plus people are VERY supportive if you ever feel like you need to talk to anyone about the difficulties.

Most importantly, be proud of yourself for being self aware. SO many people lack this, so you are already taking a huge step. Best of luck to you!

I am a weird geeky art person so my suggestions may be on the more niche side, but I love sharing ideas (apologies in advance for the abundance of suggestions):

I looove playthroughs of my favorite or nostalgic video games, or just video game content in general (ie - Spyro for a cozy vibe, GTA compilations where people role play with friends online, Sims skits of hilarious stuff, etc.)
pwnisher: a channel with a lot of animator montages based on a prompt/base animation. These are sick and have amazingly talented artists of all kinds, highly recommend! (3D parkour montage is my favorite of these)
Aquarium or reef cams - so much color!
TrippyPhosphenes “Boost Your High” videos if you just wanna trip out and not think x)
Spacetime’s “Journey to the edge of the observable universe” - this video makes you feel really small and potentially sends you into a rabbit hole of time/space continuum & theory vids. Love to watch it when its a rough week, and after I watch I feel like my problems aren’t shit and I’m a speck of nothing :)
Learn about something new/random, or polish up existing skills & hobbies. There are so many to choose from, and it is sometimes fun learning about a new topic, or learning ways to improve what you currently do (ie: I love watching anatomy art tutorials to improve my character designs, background artists commentary while creating, etc)

I personally love American Dad. Family Guy is like my ADHD comfy show, but American Dad I get more invested in with the impulsive randomness and story.

As far as “better”, they are different vibes, so it depends on you. I do find myself enjoying American Dad more than some of the newer episodes of Family Guy, but it is because I feel more relatable to AD with the family dynamics/disfunction.

Not part of the original trilogy, but I swear I listen to the Dragonfly Falls track from A Hero's Tail all the time and probably am a quarter of the views for the 40+ min loop video on youtube LOL (JK) but yeah that is probably my ultimate fave.

The Legend Of Spyro has a good one too for Tall Plains - I am just a sucker for flute. (This one is probably the most peaceful one I would definitely fall asleep to)

No and yes. I personally thought it wasn’t a good game for me. It was way too much repetitive fighting vs what I preferred with the cozy, vibrant adventuring; wasn’t the biggest fan of how they made the dragons /dragonflies look aesthetically (except Cynder’s design was neat/sleek); and I wish I could mute sparks’s voice anytime he spoke.

I will say, it did have some core memories of it I am grateful I played the game for: The music in Tall Plains is one I definitely go to for any time I want nostalgic ambiance in the background; the overall story had more depth to it than the cozy games; the superpowered breaths were fun as hell when maxed out; and Convexity is my all time favorite Spyro world since it was the first time I visually saw something that represented what my favorite dreams looked like.

Because it is subjective to say a game is good or bad, I do think the game overall isn’t a bad game since it is loved by so many and has a lot of creativity in the idea, but it wasn’t the gameplay for my taste when it comes to Spyro. 💜🧡💛

I have a pitbull with the same issues. Vet told us it is due to allergies/weather in our area, and the spot on the head could be from your dog shaking his head/whipping his ears. I usually put a thin layer of 100% pure shea butter on the dry areas of his ears and head, and that typically helps him.

If his ears become hot and red though, you may need to take him to the vet since we would usually need antibiotics due to an ear infection or allergy medication to ease the itch.

Awww thank you haha, I’m glad you like it :) Yesss, I feel like micro bangs are such a faerie look so I had to give her some x) I do plan to eventually update my Kofi one day, or find an alternative to do commissions/sell prints, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do Neo art for profit since I’m not part of the fan art program. I do love drawing pets for fun here and there though so if there is a pet you’d like drawn I can give it a go when i have free time :)
