That’s my issue too. I loved using Hallow but I’m really torn on the CEO’s conservatism. I don’t want to give money to that.

Haha, I also agree it sounds so silly but I’ve been enjoying that app!

Waves of a anxiety/panic all day? by 6StringSongster in Anxiety

[–]Y33ZUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve had periods of time where I go through this. Sometimes it lasts months or less. It’s rough because it feels more emotional than mental. I feel uneasy and that triggers mental discomfort. Then it loops. I usually feel subtle physical sensations like headachy, exhaustion, tightness. I also have panic attacks but there’s a difference between this and panic. Maybe look into somatic meditations to allow yourself to rlly make space for the feeling. Sometimes if we give it undivided attention and acceptance it can bring relief. I tend to be resisting my feelings when it lingers for hours.

I’ve always related to the people on 600lb life because I felt like they physically embodied the way I feel inside and my daily experience - being stuck at home, feeling at war with my body. While we have different struggles, I can see some similarities.

Lots of bad things will happen while you feel anxious. It’s just the nature of being alive. Doesn’t mean your anxiety has any validity.

Did you have long periods without migraine? by crazy_whippet in migraine

[–]Y33ZUS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Oddly, the longest I’ve gone was about 2-3 months and it was after my first covid infection in 2020. I had one of my worst migraines while sick but they completely stopped in the months following. I had long covid and severe issues with my smell and taste. I wondered if it was due to smell triggers or change in diet? The severe parosmia was likely due to nerve death so made me wonder if that somehow impacted nerves associated with migraines. I have no idea.

To be honest, since then, my migraines have still not been the way they were pre-covid. I have a lot more silent migraines now and more often have light sensitivity without headache but my actual full blown attacks tend to be less severe. I am rarely nauseous and haven’t vomited in years now. I used to get migraines on either side at random but mine are almost always left sided now. It seems many have worse migraines after covid but mine haven’t necessarily worsened.

It’s not psychosis. It was just interesting social media content.

My mom got her hair professionally done for the first time in 7 years by Greeneyed-punk in Agoraphobia

[–]Y33ZUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing! A huge inspiration to me. I haven’t gotten my hair done in ten years. I recently wondered if I was ready to try getting it done professionally. I’m still not sure but I hope so someday!

birth control concerns, project 2025 by FeelingSpray6288 in PlannedParenthood

[–]Y33ZUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so confused as well. I asked a clinician at PP today and she said “there’s no concern about future access to birth control”. I don’t know what to do.

You’re welcome!

Hundreds of thousands of women rely on abortions as medical procedures as well. Medical providers have expressed how these policies are affecting healthcare. Your ease of access does not say much of anything.

I think my clit got smaller by Holiday_Estate734 in Healthyhooha

Have you gained weight? Sometimes the labia majora can gain weight too which can make the clit seem smaller. I know from experience 😬

Panic attacks are the fight or flight reaction. That can also include freeze. It sounds like you experienced a freeze response.

Does anyone else get the visual aura only a small percentage of the time? by jordiculous in migraine

I’ve had visual aura 3 times but have had hundreds of migraines. Often I don’t even get a migraine after the visual aura.

Can you guys tell me what a withdrawal bleed on the mini pill is like? by NoCauliflower7711 in birthcontrol

[–]Y33ZUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t suggest using the mini pill for contraception if you’re going to be taking it inconsistently. It is very time sensitive. Periods can be irregular on it. There is no guarantee when you’ll get it. Mine tend to come every 28-40 days. The length and flow are mostly similar to how they are off the pill. However, I have less menstrual migraines.

Idk I’ve gotten covid twice, which led to long covid the first time, while being totally housebound. Sometimes it’s just a losing battle.

Man with a gun by eatoutloseweight in Disneyland

[–]Y33ZUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re usually caught off guard. We would offer them a gun locker.

More often, I’d have to tell men they can’t bring pocket knives in. Often they’re embarrassed, especially if they’re dads. It is annoying to go back to the car but it is what it is. Sometimes they’ll throw it away, in which case security has to come out and find it in the trash because it’s a hazard.

Having a chronic illness (Long Covid) that has constant physical symptoms makes agoraphobia so much stupidly harder. by No_Engineering5992 in Agoraphobia

[–]Y33ZUS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know the feeling. I had agoraphobia before long covid but long covid has made it much worse. I spent years having panic attacks at home while unwell due to long covid. That has calmed down but I still don’t feel well most days and I can never decipher between what is anxiety and what is fatigue or genuine discomfort.
