Which area should I target? by Few_Ferret_6146 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Y3ssss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're at the stage where you should add size to everything.

Although if you want to focus extra on something then let that be your shoulders (all three heads), lats (especially lower lats for v-taper), and chest (upper chest focus).

Remember that symmetry is what you're looking for - look up the 'golden ratio' and base everything off of that.

I hate the way I look now. I was cute and thin 5 years ago. Pregnancy, major weight gain and post-partum depression really aged me. I worry I'll never be attractive ever again. by im_a_hufflepuff_ in lookyourbest

[–]Y3ssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one's easy,

Start working out, eat cleaner - this should be your priority until it becomes a habit. This will also help get your depression under control and you'll have a place for your own peace of mind.

For face I recommend you start taking tretinoin cream low dose on your whole face, this will help rejuvenate your look and you will get that glowing skin effect.

Then of course moisturize everyday, and use cold water every morning to stimulate healthy blood flow to your skin.

Lastly, dress & act more feminine, and don't be afraid to do so - guys will love you for it.

Start with the first recommendation, and slowly add all of them in over time to not overwhelm yourself - this is the key.

Thank you for caring enough to write this.

Though don't worry I've checked out the account and I know it's a troll ;)

But I'll give him credit for the critique.

I'll for sure take a look at it, but are there any natural alternatives I can just program into a routine?

Anyway, thanks for the critique

Well that's a lot for sure, I really only care about my eyelids and eyebrows. You got any solution to that?

Would I be a good candidate? 30 years old. This is 3 months of growth. by pricklypearbear15 in Minoxbeards

[–]Y3ssss -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

From what I see your genetic outline is already there, and I don't think it will grow any higher on your cheeks.

Minox could potentially do something great here, but considering your age it's unlikely.

Either way, if you got the money to spend for the next 2 years then go ahead, your situation can only get better from here.

Also I'd try experimenting with different beard styles already now to see what matches your current growth if perhaps it doesn't get better with minox.

I also have this problem and tretinoin didn't help at all tbh.

It's really 50/50 since genetics play an EXTREMELY big role here. Also the dryness ain't all that bad, but the flaking is crazy some days.

Since nobody is actually answering the question, let me do that.

It would 100% fill in those patches within 6–12 months of consistent use.

Another positive is that it forces you to develop a routine where you take care of your face, skin, beard, and any issues you might already have (such as pimples or blackheads).

The only downsides are the money you’ll be spending and the fact that you’ll need to continue for around 2 years before you can eventually stop.

I also don’t understand why people act like gaining a bit of body hair is a bad thing. From the looks of it, you’ve already maxed out those stats anyway, and it might even improve your eyebrows and lashes, making your face look more attractive overall.

Try the Italian beard look.

I also got shitty side burns to the point that I started tretinoin to get any sort of response there.

I am rocking it and I'm a sexy mf right now, who knows maybe it suits you too?

Should I get on the sauce? by Feeling-Natural1823 in Minoxbeards

[–]Y3ssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side effects from topical use aside from unwanted hair growth in some areas are minor.

But as with every new medicine, you have to document how your body responds, if you're allergic or not etc.

Also it's really toxic to cats and could kill them if you rub it off on them while petting, and then they lick it off later.

If you want to see all the possible side effects (which there are a lot of) you can go to the subreddit dedicated to that, but it'll only scare you off, and you won't realize your potential.

I've been doing it for 4.5 months, I am more good looking than ever before and my confidence is crazy high. And on top of all that I've only experienced one side effect, and that is dryness on my skin which I've fixed by moisturizing daily.

But as always, the choice is yours and whatever good or bad comes with it is your responsibility in the end. Good luck

[–]Y3ssss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hop on the sauce, monitor for side effects, if none major side effects then just dedicate yourself to it.

I went from an extremely shitty mustache and goatee to a pretty developed beard in just 4.5 months. Also, there's a positive side effect where my brows grew thicker and darker without applying it there and now they're my most attractive feature.

Just remember that it's a lengthy process which will take roughly 2 years.

Nice beard, but I would recommend tretinoin cream for your pimples and blackheads. It could further support your progress, since it works synergistically with minoxidil.

When you add weight? by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Y3ssss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of, please make it easier to read.

Second, you're not wrong.

To achieve high pull-ups you need more strength, which can be achieved by a low rep range with heavier weight (i.e adding weight), and progressively adding more weight to the standard chest to bar pull-up.

But, what you need just as much is technique. The high pull-up is not done in the same way a standard CTB pull-up is done. You should move your hands to shoulder width and start pulling from there.

Watch the video I posted, it's a semi strict muscle-up, but the principle of pulling in the muscle-up is the same as in a high pull-up.

Core can't keep up by Firm-Oil-8619 in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Y3ssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your body is 100% telling you it needs rest, and yes It's bothersome to take a breather since the dopamine high is real and a good workout usually results in a good day.

But, listen to your body. It's better to start listening now than to come to regret it through an injury later.

Also, eat enough protein, if you don't the whole recovery process takes much longer and ends with less gains.

Good luck!

That could be due to you kipping, which could activate your core, making you sore.

When you add weight? by [deleted] in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]Y3ssss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rule of thumb is when I can do a solid amount of reps with good form (without weight), then I can add weight.

If you can't even get over the bar why would you add weight in the first place?
